A kiwi in a very bad disguise of a dutchman :P
Ive been reading cutting up heaps & another thread of Diesel's http://www.sosuave.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21258 and ive come across a few things that im not too sure about.
1/ On the cutting thread it says i should get creatine & on the other thread it says protein shake & whey powder, whats the difference between all of them & what is best?
2/ It states of cutting thread i need to take Vitamins C,B,E & CLA, on the other states only Vitamin C & E, whats up with that?
3/ On cutting thread says i take, Protein 2g / # body weight & other amounts for carbs & fat, what do i do if that is higher or lower that my daily calorie intake because someone said that my intake should be 50/30/20 or better off with 40/40/20, can anybody help out with this?
4/ What is glutamine/L-glutamine??
5/also before i forget when is best to train, morning, afternoon or night?
As u see from the questions im totally a newbie :D
Ive also come up with some great pro's & con's about cutting up & when i get the time i might just post all of them.
Any advice will be appreciated :)

P.S. im starting on monday & 100% sure that it will work, its funny really, ive never had so much confident in myself about losing weight in my entire life or about anything really, its a great feeling having so much confidence in myself, im so fukking enthousiastic :D

P.S.S. when im done im gonna be a HB magnet, lol :D

1) Creatine is a supplement that makes you retain water. It helps you pump out that last few reps, and is there to help you retain your muscle mass while cutting. There's pleeeeenty of info on creatine on here. It's all over the fukkin place.

Whey is the protein supp that you take to absorb into your body super quick right after your workout.

2) What's the difference? 1 says C, B, E, CLA, and one says C, E. well.... sounds like C and E are essential, and the other ones are optional. CLA "helps metabolize fat while maintaining muscle" according to the bottle. Get a multivitamin. Most of this is to keep you healthy while you reduce what you're eating so you don't get sick.

3) Read the cutting guide closely. You take the ratios D suggests as a beginning. After you do that, you begin to cut. If you scroll down about 4 posts on the cutting thread he explains it in detail for a specific person.

4) what is glutamine? A supplement.

5) Train after you've infused your body with some carbs so that you can work your ass off at the gym and not pass out. You just need to be able to give it full intensity.

6) Spell check.

just read the post u meant

its funny really cause according to my body weight i should be taking in 3342 calories & thats way too much for me.
im about 240lbs so thats
carbs 1.2g / # body weight = 288gr carbs=1152 calories
protein 2g / # body weight =480gr protein= 1920
fat 30g
& diesel says start at 2500 as a baseline, now im sort of confused :D

Figure out what you eat in a normal day right now. How does 3342 Cals compare?

My guess is it's probably not too much higher, if not lower, although it's going to be different ratios.

That's one of the areas IMO that Diesel's cutting guide is off. You should be eating calories based on your LEAN body mass not your total weight - especially if you're more than 30lbs overweight. How do you find your LBM? Get your bodyfat percentage, figure out how many pounds of fat you have on your body and subtract it from your total weight.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

How did you measure it? Not all methods are equally accurate. Also what's your height/weight?

He's about 5'11, 240 lbs.

Oh, and btw, what they were saying before, is you take your body weight, multiply by your body fat, and subtract the fat from your body to find your lean body mass.

so, 240 * .35 = 77 lbs, and 240 - 77 = 163 lbs lean body mass +- a bit.

So.... to find out your daily calories, you're multiplying by 163.

No, I was curious how you were measuring your bodyfat, I understand the calculations. 5'11 @ 240lbs, 35% sounds about right then.

sorry, misinterpreted your ? flyguy...

but yeah 5'11 at 35% for 240 lbs sounds close. It may be low by about 2%, unless the muscle under all that fat is pretty built. I'm thinkin your average 5'11 guy probably has 157-160 lbs of muscle.
