Looking for an easy way to approach a girl? One of the safest ways is to have a good excuse to talk to her - I've got one that you can always use, and get her to dance with you too (after which anything can happen ;))

The first thing you should always do is establish eye contact. There are plenty of posts about that which you can read, but it's important to have at least some positive response from your target.

Personally, I like R&B and I find that a lot of women like this as well, but you could use another style of music as well. The idea is to approach a woman when the Disc Jockey is playing sh*tty music or just something you don't like to dance to. What you do is, you walk up to your target full of confidence. This kinda goes without saying because as a real DJ, you work out, look your best AND you have a gameplan.

Anyway, you walk up to her and smile, and say something like the following:

YOU: Hi, can I ask you a question?
HER: Sure
YOU: Do you like R&B
HER: Yeah, totally
YOU: Why don't you walk up to the DJ and use your lovely charms to get him to play some R&B music
HER: Alright
YOU: Can you dance to R&B as well?
HER: Are you kidding? Hell yeah
YOU: Alright, when some good music comes on, you're on for a dance.

You can either introduce yourself and DJ her some more or walk away and come back for the dance later. The idea is to get some safe convo going while getting an easy dance of it as well.

Please excuse my English - it's not my mother language, so I wouldn't advise using this word-for-word (I know I don't in my language). Play with it, HAVE FUN with your lady and whatever you do, don't leave without her number!

Go get em

Thats not a bad tip, i might try it out this weekend & post the results.

But RnB? it's the blandest, most lifeless form of music that they play in clubs. I myself just cannot understand why it's so popular. I've tried to dance to it, but its so slow & repetitive. theres no energy or passion in the music at all!

But EVERY women on the planet at the moment loves it. so, what can i use? If i ask a girl to request some prodigy or some old skool stuff they'll look at me like an idiot.

they'll look at me like an idiot.
So would i.

Not all r&b is bad. Their some really bumping songs. Ginuines "In those jeans" is very popular these days, and is a pretty good song. I know ive mentioned it before in a couple posts.

This technique is not something i would use constantly, but i know there will be oppurtunities that arize for me to use this. Ill keep it in mind.

I normally go for a neg-hit right off the bat, like:

"Are you gonna get your life together one of these days or what?"

or

"Did you make those clothes you're wearing or did you buy them from the Salvation Army?"

Cold neg-hits DO NOT work. I know this from experience. NEVER USE THEM! If you're going to fire off a neg-hit, you had better make sure she knows you and your sense of humor first. In other words, get some rapport going first.

About the music: Pootwo, I feel your pain. Aside from old-school RUN DMC & Grandmaster Flash, hip-hop is meaningless garbage. BUT the sole consolation is that hip-hop INVARIABLY has some kind of thumping beat that the ladies can grind to.

So do what I do: grit your teeth, smile, and dance. Then listen to something worthy of being listened to on your way home.

This has been a public service announcement by Duke.

Make the best of the lackluster hip-hop tripe

If you're good at improv, make up some smart-ass lyrics on the spot.
