"It was an amazing four years. I will love you forever," the entrepreneur Tweeted to the British actress in January 2012. "You will make someone very happy one day."

I suppose a 19 million settlement 2nd time round is still chump change to this billionaire -- but this little known actress played it smart. Only got $4m first divorce, so married and divorced again for a pay rise.

No Musk fan, but what we don't see here are the NDAs involved and other possible covenants which prevent her from selling all kind of scoop to tabloids and the like or writing a memoir, maybe for even more than 17 million over time. 5% interest on a billion is $50,000,000 a year, so he's paying her a pittance to keep her mouth shut in all likelihood. Well worth it from a PR standpoint for someone with those assets and a public company that could lose more than 17 million of market cap in an hour if certain disclosures were made about personal life or a scandal erupted. No idea whether he's a beta chump or not, but this settlement doesn't speak to that at all.

Man this system pisses me off. How someone can just spread their legs and come away with a million dollars WHILE at the same time, they can collectively run around still bashing men, saying they are being oppressed, saying they don't earn as much as men, saying men are deadbeats, etc., etc.

And folks have the nerve to say, "Tenacity, getting married isn't all that bad..." Pffftttttt lol.

Funny thing is, the guy is a billionaire, in his early 40's, looks younger than his age, in good physical shape...and he couldn't do better than some average-looking, third rate "actress". How sad. If you must marry a gold-digger, marry a hot one at least.

The guy is a genius; one of those people that can mentally sit above above the system, take it for what it's worth and use to his advantage. He has billions at stake and needs to keep her happy and I imagine he was cringing when he wrote it
