Hello all,

Most likely it is not remember but I started on a transformative journey since Nov 29 of last year.
I wanted to change my life because I just couldn't find any proper route where I could pour in my energy and learn something new. Everything seemed mundane and lifeless. I had also lost 150k in stock market during that year, so I was mentally in turmoil.

I started with the smallest change which was to quit watching porn and fapping- (used to do 2-3 times a week). Nov 29,2015. Made a journal to count days.

Exactly 60 days later I had my night fall and it was so intense I felt like I was in comma and couldn't move until it was all over lol.

What other things happened during this time?

I lost weight 40lbs since Jan 1- I got abs that I've never had

Meditation is a lot better

Been 7 months since I've been with a girl as well. I did not try because I wanted to move towards my goals and wanted to see how this process unfolds.

I quit drinking alcohol and turned vegetarian (no meat/eggs/seafood)

My road rage which was to a point that I rather not even get in has almost vanished.

My gym numbers went from a total of 645 to 910 lbs (deadlift, bench, squat total)

Women are just women now- there is zero fear of anything. (like anxiety cause she's pretty) all is gone completely. I can talk to anyone with same level of comfort now.

Will power has gone through the roof- my friends who started the weight loss with me in Jan -lost weigh with me for the first 2 months then have gained it all back and some plus back in bad habits.

I have a very strong resolve now.

Now every 30-40 days I might get a night fall and sometimes I can even wake up n stop it in mid-way but then in morning i'd have to like wack off - it'll take like 20 seconds and it'll fall out and i'd be back to normal because it'll feel like something is in there.

For example today after 3 months (i think not 100%) I was in between a intense dream and I was able to wake up and stop the process before it was complete and this morning during shower I shook it and within 20 seconds the remaining stuff came out that's it.

Now i'm not sure if any of the above changes have anything to do with fapping or not but I'm just telling you guys about how it worked out with me. Some of you will point out research and all that about benefits , just keep in mind there was a time when being Gay was considered a disease and now it's accepted as something you are born with. So who was right? back then or now? Same for smoking-it was considered exercise for lungs lol. Research keeps changing based on how they want society to move forward. Keep doing what works for you.

I don't even track this anymore -my birthday is coming up in few days and I was just writing stuff in journal as to what have I done so far since my last birthday -and all this came to my mind. So I thought I would share it here.

If I could give someone one advice for life -it'll be this. Quit fapping. This is such a small change, so tiny and it has been normalized to such a degree that -no one even cares about it. I'm not advocating not to have sex. That is totally different experience. Watching someone on screen versus sharing intimacy is totally different. They are even teaching about fapping at school now lol benefits and what not SMH
Fapping is like the dialogue from that movie - what's the best move devil could ever make? -making people believe that it doesn't exist. I'm an atheist btw so this is just a way of saying -this tiny thing has a very big impact but we've pushed it as a daily chore in our life lol and never think about eradicating it out of life -just to see what can happen.

For me it began as a challenge -I wanted to see how long can I go but since I started I just incorporated this as a habit. Now there is no timeline because this is lifelong habit now. No fap.

Sorry for the long post just wanted to share it all.

**** that. You only get one life and why should I deprive? In addition, what happens when you start fapping/having sex again? One should learn to control urges not completely ignore them.

lol, I think you didn't read what I posted correctly.

However, do as you please. Not here to judge or claim, my way being the best way.

I am not entirely sure if all of that had to do with no fap or not... It is more psychological than just that.
I think you just all of a sudden decided to take control over your life, and in that success realized that you can take control of much more. You only did it in a very small way in the beginning (no-fap) but in that act of exerting your own willpower you realized how strong your willpower was. You simply made a choice, and in that you realized that you have more control that you previously believed. After this realization you made a choice to eat more healthy (more likely this was the cause of the weight loss), you made a choice to exercise more. You just decided to manifest your own destiny instead of just moving along though life.

In other words it has nothing to do with the fap/no fap and everything to do with this:
"I wanted to move towards my goals and wanted to see how this process unfolds."

But if no-fap helped you start the path toward self-empowerment then good... But it was only one small step along the way.

Like I said in the post above, that I'm not sure if it has anything to do with fap or no fap but it all happened once I stopped.

Since last Jan 2015 I've been getting up at 5.30 am in the morning and working out. Holiday or not- I used to get up at that time. It wasn't until Dec 2015 when the one thing that I cut out was this fap. Everything else remained constant. I had this mental force to keep doing more n more which allowed me to learn more about diet-and learned and read entire literature on diet online. (You won't believe how much nonsense is out there most people talk about broscience like it's the fact).

One would think if fap does nothing whatsoever for a person then why is it so hard for people to cut it out?

However, I live by the mantra of live and let live. So if whatever works for you then all the power to you. Forward is forward , no matter what the speed.
