50 First Dates

Anyone seen this movie? Just saw it on DVD recently, its pretty funny at parts. I specially like Rob Schneider (he's that smartass Hawaiian guy). Wasn't he also in that other movie (about the guy Adam Sandler who adopts a kid) as an Italian immigrant? Man, that guy's got the funniest roles! Specially loved the bit where the chick kept beating him up with the baseball bat.

Although the ending wasn't too bad actually. Some of you fellas might find it AFC, but I found it pretty cool, specially posed against the Alaskan backdrop. The contrast between the little boat and the snow mountains is magnificent, when you see it you might get a sudden urge to go to Antartica.

Favourte scene was the first video where the hawaiian guy is pretending to be the chick, and he starts rubbing his t!ts.

I liked the beginning... kinda went downhill after that point, IMO.

I reacted as usual to the same nice-guy-cliché found in most movies. Some are good even with this but the movie wasn't any of his best. Animal and gigolo is much funnier.

I'd drop this chick, must be awful to have a chick who doesn't remember a thing of the relationship you share.

I agree with diplomatic I thought it was a fairly good movie. Funniest part for me was probably when he was pretending he couldn't read in the cafe to pick up drew barrymore's (sp?) character. Ending was a little sad though when you think about it.

Yeah, that "cant read" thing was frigging hilarous. Specially when he starts wiping his face with the water. Sandler always seems to exagerrate his emotions in movies a lot.

Although about the whole AFC thing, most comedy movies these days are gonna involve some romance in a way (even stoner movies like Harold & Kumar had some of it). At least with Sandler/Schneider, they redeem the script a bit with their good acting.

But hey, dating a chick with short-term memory loss....a one night stand EVERY night! Although I can't imagine how hard it'd be, you wake up screaming every morning.

Yeah, that was Sean Astin. Great actor. You probably know him best for his role as Samwise Gamgee in 'The Lord of the Rings' movies.

Rob Schneider's "THe Hot Chick" had me laughing for about 20 minutes nonstop. That movie really made me laugh!

"You think you're soo cool cuz you have a penis!"

Anyways, my favorite part of 50 First Dates was when they're in the aquarium, and suddenly Rob Schneider floats down and gives him the thumbs up hella randomly. I laughed at that part for EVER.

Man, I can't believe Sean Astin played that goofy Sam guy in Lord of the Rings! There's a pretty big difference in their characters.

I thought it was really sad too. i dont know why, but it just made me feel bad for Lucy (drew's character). I just wouldnt want to be in her shoes. I mean, just meeting your husband for the first time every day? I couldn't live like that.
