does anyone hear play football in college i need help with my speed i want to get my 40 from a 5.2 to a 4.8 or 4.7 by september u have any ideas of how i can accomplish this cause i think im so fast till i get tested and they say i run like a 5.2 so then im wondering how its possible to run like a 4.3 thats what confuses me with speed i dont think someone could be that much faster than me .

Dude that is fast. Just not compared to NFL players.

so then im wondering how its possible to run like a 4.3 thats what confuses me with speed i dont think someone could be that much faster than me

Go look at Steve Smith's calves,that can do A LOT of different things as soon as he catches the ball do to his burst off the line.

Power Cleans. It will take you some time to learn the exercise however. But certainly worth effort. Power Cleans are your best tool to increase power, the ability to explode/accelerate.

4.1 is the human limit. 5.9 is pretty good considering this fact.
get it to 4.3 and nothing can catch you lol

damn i run a 5.4 i guess thats pretty good :D if i trained sprints i could probably get it down.

Calves have almost nothing to do with 40 yard dash times, don't give advice if you don't know what you're talking about. Sprinting (and the vertical jump) is all about the posterior chain, especially the hamstrings. Do a lot of squatting, deadlifting, glute ham raises, pull throughs, reverse hypers if possible, and hip mobility/flexibility drills. Cleans are an excellent lift for explosiveness as well, but doing deep, dynamic effort squats will also make you explosive, there is nothing supernatural about olympic lifts, so don't freak out if you have a hard time learning them. Also, be sure not to overtrain with running.
