4 whole eggs

Boys,

I am currently on Anthony Ellis's WO program for skinny guys ... It comes with a program tracker which automatically generates meals following your BF%/weight/ etc.. So I'm supposed to be eating 4 whole eggs a day during one of my meals, and people at the gym freak out when I talk them that, they tell me I should only eat the whites, because of the saturated fats and the arachidonic acid contained in the yolks....Well I get different opinions on the question, in general.
What do you guys think ?

Dietary cholesterol has no effect on your serum cholesterol. There has never been a study which linked saturated fats to CHD. Use the search function for more info, there has been some very good discussions about this. I've been on 20 eggs a day once, and that was me being lazy ( I was supposed to be on 36).

Welcome to the boards. BTW, the info in AE's guide is just the tip of the iceburg, you'll find much more detailed info in you stick around.

36 eggs a day??? :nervous:

If I ate that many eggs I'd be crowing at sunrise!

I only eat cooked eggs maximum once a week. Just like tuna, the thought of it makes me sick due to eating so much of it in the past.

watch out for biotin deficiency, I think the whites might absorb it from your body. I'm not too knowledgeable about this. I remember a thread at t-nation where this dude started looking some hair after eating hella raw eggs; he thought it was biotin deficiency.

why would you eat raw eggs when you absorb more protein from cooking them ??

24 eggs a day is a lot..why not eat more meat ?? or eat a cup of NO SALT cottage cheese, its 64 grams of protein and because its dairy you will use more of the nutrients than raw eggs, not to mention its way easier to eat especially if you mix it with fruits.

There are advantages to eating raw eggs. Try it and see how it affects your performance.

already been there and done that.. No effect on performance what so ever. (sleeping and making sure I eat properly through out the day dictates how well I perform my physical activities)

Not saying its un-healthy or bad..but your eating a ton of eggs and only absorbing a small portion of nutrients for the amount of food your consuming. Sure its cool to tell people you eat 24-36 a day, but its not very logical, you can be eating less food and get greater nutritional gains.

Cooked eggs make me hurl and I can eat more raw.

I eat lots of meat, it's just that after bumping up the raw egg intake I saw strength gains.

I'm lactose intolerant.

For me raw eggs in a shake is very easy to eat.

I hope I lose some hair! I have way too much. Better up the eggs again lol

One other thing. Most people will build an intolerance to eggs(or any protein) if they are not consuming many varying protein sources during the day. So if you can't afford too much meat for a few days you may need to cut back on your eggs as well.

I have developed an intolerance twice from doing this. Just stop eating them for a week and then your good to go. You will just get an upset stomach and gass after eating them if you have developed an intolerance.

Losing 6lbs would make you look scrawny? Christ, hate to be you.

I'm with Drum&Bass on this... cooked eggs all the way. Taste awesome, no salmonella risk (however low it is) and is just better all round. Sure you might manage a higher intake with raw eggs, but eat more meat.

Raw eggs shakes can be carried in a thermos with ice anywhere you go. Not so easy with cooked eggs.
