How do i invest my 25000€ ?

Hi,

I'm looking for investing my money. I already read several books (rich dad poor dad,...) about money & am aware about the cash quadrant as being a key to becoming rich.

I'm 25, have a stable work earning 1400€ after tax deduction monthly (this is considered as an above average loan in belgium for somebody of my age - 25 & who hadn't any form of higher education & works 40hours/week)

110€ goes monthly to my car loan, but this will end in december this year.

starting 2007 i will have no more credit.

Right now I have some money in stocks (have lost money in the past, but also earned money with this, but I don't like this form of investing because of it's volatility & the time needed to know what you are truly doing)

anyway, after having paid my car I will have ~25000€ available.

options:

-Real estate: buy & rent an appartement would be my first choice. But should you buy no money down or not? It's easier imo to buy by investing your own money

-own business: i would really like to start a side job (I do have some things running on ebay), but for this I need a wholesale supplier, which untill now I haven't found.

-investing: stocks, bonds,... With the safest options, you're money is blocked during 3-5 or more years, which I don't like

Other point: at 25y old, I'm still living at home. Getting my own place asap is of course my preference. But buying my own place would make me unable to invest my money for other things. Reason I'm waiting.

your insight would be helpfull

tnx

If you already know the three asset classes you are on the right track. Unfortunately no one is going to be able to tell you which one fits you best.

Trial and error bud, trial and error.

couldn't have said it better myself.

What do you like to do? What interests do you have? There is money in anything, you just have to find what suits you best.

Trust me when I say, I would rather be successful and loving my job, then rich and dispising going to work every day

also, if you are counting your car as an asset, remember, that it depreicates in value year after year. So if you paid 25k for it, it might well it won't be worth 25k now.

The car i bought 2 years ago basically cut in half in value. If I sold the car I bought last year I will have lost 15% of it's worth already

A car is definitely a liability.

Fuel prices went sky high the last 3years in Europe.
Insurance, tax, general costs,...

Car sux, but where I live I need one...

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Ok what I like to do would certainly having my own business (this could include real estate as a business)

I certainly would want to buy an appartement with the purpose of renting it. But people advice to buy no money down.

Isn't it easier to invest some money so the monthly credit goes down somewhat?
