My friend joined a 5 classes (something like personal training), and he was really happy about it. He get great results of what he wanted.
So I've bee thinking about trying it out myself, even though I don't have a membership at 24 hours. My goals is the gain 10 pounds within 3 weeks.
I've been thinking about this a long time but still not sure. After all, $299+membership is awful lots of money, especially for 5 classes (or something like that). So the problem is that is it worth?

Is it possible to gain 10 pounds in three weeks? I've been working out hard and with good nutrition and only gained 3 pounds of muscle in 3 weeks......

EDIT. Why not start your own program with a regular gym pass?

Only three pounds? What d'you mean, ONLY three pounds!?

If you gain 3 lbs of lean muscle (assuming no water weight etc) in 3 weeks kid, that'd be 4 lbs in a month, or 48 lbs of lean mass in a year. I can't think of any trainer I know who wouldn't gladly take that.

To the original poster: I've never associated "24 hour fitness" with "good muscle gains" - and 299 for 5 lessons is a bloody lot of money (other comments withheld so this doesn't get into a slanging match) given that I doubt you'll get your money's worth.

You could just read this forum and get all the knowledge you need for solid gains for only the cost of your internet subscription. (sheesh, I never thought I'd be recommending a site called SoSuave to people looking to gain muscle either..)

hey warboss, good to see you back.

remember to weigh yourself in the morning, on an empty stomach. These 'gains' you THINK you might have made could just be all the food you've thrown down your hatch that's being digested; Water weight =)

300 bucks is too much man. I would LOVE that job!

You gained three lbs not three lbs of muscle are you kidding me. The ONLY way you can gain three lbs of lean mass in 3 weeks would be if you got some good steroids. Some real HGH. 3 lbs in 3 weeks is simple to gain, just eat until you cant eat anymore and hit the gym hard

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I did look over the results and did research and realized what I said was wrong.

Sorry for that.
