I have something that I would like your thoughts on. I am a 19 year old male, and want to know if it is too irrational for me to try and ask out a female doctor (opthamologist). She's actually pretty young looking, and thats probably the only thing that would make me try this challenge out. I am not looking for a serious relationship, just a cup of tea ;)

I had recently bought some wierd kind of waxy lens cleaner from Wal-Mart, and I need to know if it'll hurt the anti-glare surface of my glasses. Thats a good enough reason for me to strike up a conversation, hehe. (Do any of you guys know if that stuff would be ok to use?)

I'd like to know what you think about me asking this lady out. Too wierd? Maybe I could use some tips so I don't come off as a wierd kid, (or if you tell me to forget about it, it would be equally appreciated)

Also, it seems like I should be careful not to take too long talking while I'm there. Nobody likes to be distracted from work.

Hey, ease up, sustainable. Maybe you should learn to use some ****ing punctuation.

Anyway, I have read the DJ bible. I just want to read your posts on this one. That's what this is here for, right?

I'd say go for it. You have nothing to lose. I think she'll be flattered. The worst you'll get is a rejection and thats nothing. good luck!

I agree with honeyshark. He even has the educational process down.

Physicians/medical students are taught to avoid realtionship with customers/patients at all cost. They even take ethical classes to teach them to avoid these sort of situations. But just as sharky says, go for it but don't beat yourself up or any thing if she says "no." If she says yes, know that your are damn good.

Is this YOUR doctor, or just A doctor? If she's YOUR doctor, she's going to reject you just because she can lose her job for dating a patient.

I don't think we should place limits on ourselves, but let's be honest. She is probably looking for a financially secure, independent (not living with his parents), and mature guy. Even if you looked like Brad Pitt, I still wouldn't give you a snowball's chance in hell. But, hey, prove me wrong.
