Very unspecific question, seeing as how none of us know anything about you or your workout history, health level, etc.

You would be better off going to a gym and speaking with a personal trainer. Perhaps the YMCA.

If you're serious about the dumbbells, realize now that they alone will not accomplish the results you're probably looking for. You'd be better off just doing your 30 mins of cardio then push ups and power cleans.

Nice and simple dude. Learn technique. Don't be too concerned with weight. Buy a basic set (barbell and DBs) for the home, nothing wrong with that. I started with an old set of Weider weights and bench. Came with some good posters on what the exercises were and how to perform them. Press ups are good. Dips with feet on a chair and hands on a slightly lower bench. Pull-ups on anything you can find. I used to use the branch of a tree outside our house. Try and get a friend to do stuff with you for safety and motivation. Even better, a slightly older guy who knows what he is doing.

If you can find a good instructor at a gym (and most are truly woeful in my view) who is willing to help you all well and good but many gyms won't allow one so young to join up.

Get to it you dawg!!

Also, have you considered signing up for the JV football team at your school? Usually they do weight training after classes are done...
