The United States could re-instate the export ban, which would curb oil from going above $200 per barrel. Remember that we were energy independent a couple of years ago.

No matter who fight, doesnt matter who wins...the only sure thing is that europvssy are gonna get the worse deal possible out of any situation.

Sometime I wonder if they smoke pot at the european commission...

When moderation is needed they overdo, when action is needed they opt for wait and see.

This applies to inflation, demography, world wars and even birthday parties.

Speaking of cannabis, alternatives to oil become cost effective when prices get high enough. For example, plastic is made from oil, but it can also be made from hemp. The current price of oil is about where hemp plastics become feasible.

My only question is how many of our leaders are actually wanting this to happen? Some definitely would like to see oil prices skyrocket in order to push along alternative energy sources.

Some want the oil. Others are against oil so push the fake green energy. Then there's the nuclear crowd who I think might become the next big thing if they get the right push. It's surely an interesting time.

Our leadership doesn't give a sh!t about us, and getting rid of domestic oil production proves that they're also stupid and can't see an inch past their own nose. Our leadership is beholden to foreign interests, and selling us down the river to OPEC is proof of that.

The real problem isn't how much the average person is paying at the pump, it's the massive increase in transportation prices that will lead to price increases on goods across the board.

Alternative energy is not the problem. Foreign dependence is the problem. Globalism has failed.

This is another gross exaggeration from the OP. Eventually it will get to $10 / gal but many years from now.

You shouldn’t be so dependent on oil in your personal life. Alternatives exist and are plenty. The government pays $10,000 to buy an electric car. I also own two bikes and work from home. The only shvt I give about oil prices is how dependent the rest of the economy still is on it. The price of oil unfortunately affects the price of food & distribution of all goods. But it doesn’t have to if our government would stop subsidizing the goddamn oil companies.

It really has, and I speak about this constantly to my peers. There is no way we should be getting affected by worldly events if everything was homegrown and domestic. I can't remember the last time I bought an american made major product in my home.

We need to be more self sufficient in manufacturing, but goods made by Americans are going to be more expensive than those made elsewhere. There's nothing wrong with international trade, the world has used it since ancient times. The problem comes when we are dependent on it.

There is plenty of oil in North America. We will probably just turn to fracking once the leftists realize that fracking is actually incredibly green.

Fracking isn’t green, man. Stop the cap. It is a fossil fuel.
Check this talk out, he makes some great points. I was on the fence before I had listened to him.

You put way too much faith in them. Leftists are 100% convinced that they're righteous and incapable of admitting that they're wrong.

To quote Yuri Bezmenov: "...Exposure to true information does not matter anymore. A person who is demoralized is unable to assess true information, the facts tell nothing to him. Even if I shower him with information, with authentic proof, with documents, with pictures; even if I take him by force to the soviet union and show him concentration camp, he will refuse to believe it until he is going to receive a kick in his fat bottom. When a military boot crushes his balls, then he will understand, but not before that.

Biden needs to release some of the massive US reserves and subsidize US Shale that at one point a few years ago was producing more barrels per month than any other country in the world, then as an agreement for their subsidizing have them sell their barrels to the US companies at a discount.

I for one don't see a problem with simps. They just make it easier to stand out. If you're a man who's 35+ in decent shape, not balding, no kids, at least a 6/10, have a bit of wealth/resources, and living life on your own terms with interesting **** going on, you're already easily, if not automatically in the top 10% of all men.

Simps may cause the downfall of society, but individuals can still prosper even in dark times.
