I saw that gorgeous girl at the bus stop, she could have model if she was not modeling already. She was solid, tall, skinny, blue eyes and very Slavic. A solid 9.
We got on the same bus, she got off one stop before mine so I got off too and immediately talked to her. I said Ahoj (Hi in Czech) and then Привет (Hi in Russian) as there are a lot of Ukrainians, Kazakhs, Russians in Prague and it's quite difficult to guess the nationality. She replied Привет and then I went in Russian like: You're Russian? She looked at me like I was dirt and I understood my mistaked and immediatly said "ah you're Ukrainian." In the future I will always assume that they are Ukrainian or ask where they are from. The fact that I'm a foreigner who speaks Russian saved the situation. She was still showing resistance a bit, but I could see she was curious as I had noticed her glancing at me several times at the bus stop.
I kept talking to her, she listened but didn't make it easy for me, she was trying to see how I would manage the situation and if I would lose frame. Frame was shaky a bit but I managed to keep it, it's more difficult to approach in Russian, I'm a bit rusty.
Anyway, when I finally saw some very subtle signs of interest she told me she was 15. I was a bit surprised but not that much, it's hard to tell how old they are nowadays. I told her she was too young, wished her good luck and left. If she had been 18+ I would have had good chances with her.
I took my shot, that is what matters, a bit disappointed yes, she was elite type of girl in terms of beauty, but there is nothing I can do about her age.
What caught my attention is her reaction when I said "I know it's a bit unusual" (to cold approach a girl), a line that I always use when I approach, to which she replied casually "not at all". It seems like some girls are completely fine with that and even expect it while some are almost calling the police for harassment. Nothing new here, but it looks like it has to do with cultural differences, or personality.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this. I'm glad I approached her, I was a bit nervous I admit it but did ok, not the best approach but not the worst. Her name was Masha.
Learning Russian was a very good decision and time investment, you have no idea how easy it is to open Russian Ukrainian Belarussian Kazakchka when you speak the language.
I'm learning Mandarin Chinese now (and Czech of course)
