    Age, man......

Have been away from here awhile, come back to lots of great advice. Here are some things that have worked for me after a heart attack 4.5 years ago that I didn't see listed in the thread already. Age today is 55. Hormesis-hypothermic/hyperthermic conditioning (fancy way to say sauna and cold...

    IT Lawyer?

Haven't been around these parts in awhile, good to see some old hands posting still. If you have an entrepreneurial nature, are not extremely introverted, and willing to do a little smiling and dialing/targeted Email, a legal practice is one of the best small businesses to start... once the...

In The Event of War, Where Should One Invest Money?

Talking all out Red Dawn type event? Bar Soap. The man with a large stash of bar soap in dire times will never starve. Cheap to hoard, lasts long, convenient trading sizes, everyone wants but not valuable enough to kill or rob you for like guns, ammo or gas. Canned Fish. Keeping 100-200 cans...

Is there a patent on La Z Boy toilet combinations I wonder? Just a thought.

    Would You Bang A Nazi?

I wouldn't bang the one on the far right with the beard, but would probably do either of the other two if they had some great meth... eh who'm I kidding, would do all three if the meth was good enough.

    Disciplinary

Yeah, do what others say, don't mention it again. Don't bust your ass though. You just got a taste of craftily applied stick. Male managers are taught to do that to guilt you into going above and beyond and not pressing your workplace rights. Women don't need to be trained to do that, the stick...

A PEEK into the overwhelming privilege of attractive women

Will never forget the time I walked into my female law associate colleague's office at 10PM one night. She was sobbing uncontrollably, and I asked what was wrong. She had to cancel dinner plans for work, to work until 10PM. I hadn't seen her in the office that late before. I told her it would be...

Would any of you ever go back to a flip phone?

Agreed. I still use a flip, and had a "smartphone" way back in 2001 (blackberry) and again in 2007 (some Samsung monstrosity). Couldn't get rid of them fast enough. My admittedly "eccentric" view is that phones should be -not- seen and especially -not- heard, and I find many people out there...

    Beware the "Life Coach"

On a tangential note, I have found a couple of times over the years that a woman having a "life coach" is just as much of a flag as her being on certain meds. In those instances, I felt like the "life coach" was a cheap shrink for her to bounce her "me-talk" off of, and usually to my...

Women dont want to be middle class, they want upper middle class

Women, like men, are more controlled by either hard-wiring or their big brains. Only a tiny minority can make the distinction, and most swing from one to the other extreme without even realizing it. The male hard-wiring dictates -extraction- of resources from the environment, accumulation of...

    The Minimalists

"Minimialism" is a misnomer. We have been conditioned since children by marketing messages in numerous venues to overconsume and overpossess. Not doing that is not minimal, but normal. I practiced the typical American consumerism for years... then went back to law school in the mid 90s, lived...

So which one of you blue pill newbies did this?

I don't get it. Looks like a great troll to me, that couldn't possibly be real, too many great gags in it. One of the funniest things I've read in awhile, good effort.

DNC Leaked Emails | SoSuave Challenge

OK, you won't be around long, but I will, and wanted to point something out. It's not the popular vote, that's a red herring. The question is how many -more- votes Bern would have gotten if the deck hadn't been stacked against him. Your argument is the equivalent of "well he was the patsy at the...

    Trump Leads Hillary

I grew up in a family growing 10-15 different vegetables a year in a one acre garden, and though I don't do that now, I do microgarden inside. I know what good food is, and I agree that you have to be careful in the grocery store, but let's not have a "good food" pissing contest.

DNC Leaked Emails | SoSuave Challenge

http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/05/politics/hillary-clinton-bill-clinton-paid-speeches/ $153 million in "speaking fees." How can anyone turn their head from that, let alone vote for that, and consider themselves an ethical American, in light of the number of each of our ancestors who died fighting...

    Trump Leads Hillary

    1. You should use IRS data for income, not the census. Does the census data you are using factor out children and seniors? Doesn't appear so. IRS data will only measure actual workers. 2. I disagree with the "haves and the have nots" claim. I have wonders at my fingertips for pennies that kings...

American Women Hit 40% Moo Cow

The problem will continue to get worse as long as American men continue to become more and more effeminate and accepting of it. Behind every fat woman there are 10 beta men trying to get with her regardless. The rest of us have to put up with every average looking nonfat woman thinking she is...

My new neighbor mounted an outdoor camera directly facing my home/ his view

I agree with OP, and do not agree with the "free security" angle. Cameras are cheap and easy to mount, and OP could do that if they wanted the extra security. Surely there is a way for them to capture a view without also focusing on neighbors' houses.
