I had a Dominican friend in high school and he had no problem identifying himself with black. A lot of black Dominicans are mixed with Haitians, and Haitians are definitely not Latino.

I understand the diversity of the Caribbeans, central and south America. I don't think Dominicans consider themselves as Latino though. My question hasn't been answered.
