Over the summer I was seeing/****ing a few girls from the apps (as well as going out to clubs and sometimes getting lucky). However, some of these experiences really drained me emotionally (oneitis situation and another girl that didn't work out). I have since deleted the apps from my phone and will jump back on them in a few months after I've had time to work on a few things and readjust myself.

How often do you guys do this (if you do) when you feel completely burnt out? I tend to do it every five/six months and feel much better after. I think it's good to take a break if you're drained, but each to their own.

I'm similar... probably every 6 months or so. I'm actually at the burnt out stage now. Like I posted in another thread, I've had about 7 dates this year, which has led to the stereotypical "one date, no sex, no second date".

That's way too few dates to draw any conclusions from. It's almost October and you have had 7 dates. That's not even one a month. IMO that should have been your 3 week total. That means you aren't even in any type of flow where you can work on improving date to date because you basically start from ground zero every time.

If you wanted to improve at golf, would you think going golfing less than once a month would do it? No. You'd probably go at least once a week and maybe go to the driving range and putting greens to practice.

Same thing...you can't just go on dates randomly once in a blue moon and expect you to improve your abilities in dates.

Dating is no different than anything else...you need to practice to be good at it and improve.

As I repeatedly tell people, it's a numbers game. If you are going on less than one date a month those numbers will never be in your favor.

Honestly, it depends.
I do "OLD raids" where I met hit it hard for a month or two and then take breaks(which means swiping every day, using multiple apps, if it's not hard it may be light swiping here and there depending on my mood) For example this year

Jan-Light
Feb-March-Semi hard (I took a break in January cause I had a plate that was a disaster)
April-Break (had a plate)
May-Used one App smashed one chick and then took a break
June-Hard (had 9 dates)
July-Break
Aug-Sept-Hard now light (slowing down)

Usually, If I take breaks it's anywhere from 1-6 months depending on my situation(i.e. focused on life, fitness, work etc). October, I am planning to take a break November-Jan tend to be my best months on apps as most women want to get swooped for the holidays. This summer has been a lot of dates but I have tried a couple new apps that have yielded some decent results.

Personally OLD as I've got older yeah it's easy to bang chicks but it's hard to find someone whom you have compatibility with for long term in my experience. It's a supplement to meeting women IRL and should never be the main focus however that's easier said than done in the times we live in

Yeah, I was overly reliant on apps and so probably explains the burnout. The first dates can be extremely repetitive as well and so get boring. I'm going to try more in person.

Which apps do/did you use?
