I live in NJ smack center in the state where I am about 90 minutes away from both Philadelphia and Manhattan.

The county I live in has the most seniors in the state and most of the women are either too young or too old where I am not interested in them. Due to the job industry, there aren't too many women in my target demographic (30-40).

I was in Manhattan yesterday and I matched with about 7 women yesterday alone.

Do you think any of them wrote me? (for those of you who don't know--women initiate contact on Bumble)

They probably looked at my profile and I see I live "far away" and there is the end of that.

I don't think women are interested in men who live more than 30 to 45 minutes away (tops) from their location.

I have news for you. In a big city, women have endless choices on swipe apps. They feel entitled to the 'top tier' men regardless of wherever they are in SMV. Women have such abundance on swipe apps in big cities that you need to be in the 90th percentile or higher to do well.

Your location stinks AND your reliance on swipe apps stinks.

You need to move closer to either Philadelphia or New York City at a minimum. With New York City, Manhattan has the best mating environment. You could also move to a big city in another US state.

Regardless of where you move, you would also need to start approaching more in real life.

Heres the trick; don’t use the swipe apps at home. Only use them when you are physically in Philadelphia or NYC. Then swipe like a madman while you are there. The swipe apps only work well in big cities. There’s just no point in wasting time in swiping on chicks that have their range set to 20 miles or less. It burns the lead.

Go to one of the cities for a weekend. See you buddies, go to a concert or convention or something. Grab a room for a night or two, swipe, hit the spots, and try to hook up with girls. That’s how you have to do it if you don’t plan on moving.

I got laid on the apps in fvcking middle of nowhere Saskatchewan, so it can be done regardless of location. I think you are just making up excuses because there is a lot bullshvt in cities too that do not exist in rural areas. I agree that cities are much easier, but there are bigger barriers than rural vs suburb or utban. Like I’d rather swipe in your area vs the heart of downtown Nashville.

Sounds like you just need to delete the apps for a while. The apps do cause psychological distress.

Also you would need to adjust your home location to the big city. I live in a big city and my preferences would be set to 1 mile radius but lot of women message me from far away places and different states.

Honestly I have had better online dating app luck in small cities.

When you look at women’s lifestyles in Miami, Manhattan or LA, these babes are a bunch of entitled monsters. Your chances are better finding the tourist girl visiting those places because they are not actually living some insane lifestyle.

Temporarily, I lived there about twenty five years ago. Back when I was using OLD, I did a 15 mile search; which is actually a 60 mile radius (15 North of , 15 South of 15 East of and 15 miles West of).

One look at these women and I thought to myself... "I don't think that even Mars needed women this bad."

If you want to make these women disappear, add a "Bachelor degree or higher with no children" search and poof! The search result will show "zero" results (or at least this was the case back when I lived there).

Depends. I did Tinder when traveling in the sparsely populated Midwest/SE and parts of CA away from the metropolitan areas. It was fine. However, I was not looking for LTR and I was just in the location a day or two. For long term, it might be difficult. But for short term. It was good.

To be honest, to an impartial observer reading this thread, how useful would it be without any pictures? How attractive are these women? Almost any guy can at least get "something" on apps.
