Im being 100 with you. If you honestly feel that those exercises that I told you about can help to bring back the edge that I once had then im all about it.
It will bring back the edge and the urge.

Again, consistency is key.

You have to be so dedicated (and consistent) with the process, that if you skip a workout day, it feels like a sin. It doesn't even feel right.

You will feel guilty.

And once you hit it consistently, you will look different...and your confidence level will begin to rise.

Put in the work. Trust the process. Reap the benefits.

I was pulling in a lot of women when I was doing that and you just reminded me of that. Im trying to become the old me in the sense of what I was doing before that brought me many women. That was one of the things that I was doing.
Ain't nothing to it but to do it.

It sounds kinda weird but after being in a relationship for so long you get lazy and you stop doing the things that you did before because you know you have a woman already.
I understand.

Sometimes, it can boil down to just not liking what you see when you look in the mirror.

That actually should be the first motivating factor.

Men have to make sure to get tall first. Once they get tall, then they can get ripped. To build muscle mass while short looks awkward and is a major turn off to women.
While it's great to be born tall, I know plenty ripped short guys and two shorter guys who are almost as wide as they're tall. They do just fine.

Nothing will matter unless the man is tall. Notice on dating sites women dont say “has to have a six-pack” but they always say “has to be at least 6’1.
People on dating sites are a small group of the total of people dating, so these statements are not really representative.

Thats it. I need to quit splitting my focus and fvcking around.
I’m 6’1 with solid definition. I just need to slap on a few more slabs of muscle. Just bought a tub of whey isolates and packed up my fridge.
Im going back to the gym on Monday. Ima groove in with light but brutal workouts don’t wanna burn out to quick.
tomorrow ima do prison 8 count navy seal burpees that I picked up in the pen and some bear crawls as a warm up in back yard. This flickered the switch.

I have always been a proponent of fitness. However, most of my life I have focused function over form... i.e. more concerned about what my body can do (i.e. run marathons, compete in TKD tournaments, lifting was always low weight high reps) Endurance over strength...

Enter March 2023, I took on a client and invested in her personal training fitness business, she is the wife of a friend of mine and I took on the challenge because she is out of state, and wanted to sharpen my skills with remote assistance and counseling with not too much hands on. This was a skill I lacked during Covid... and as a result lost a lot of money. I want to be ready for the next pandemic. Anyway, to the point.

I've never worked with a client in the fitness industry, never have... never invested in a gym, personal trainer, martial arts dojo, yoga studio, none of them mostly because I never really believed that a facility or trainer is not a factor in the success of a client, mostly because I never needed one myself. Never invest in anything you do not understand. JP was the first... anyway, I told her I really need to understand what you do and the best way for me to do that is for you to train me. Since a big part of her business model is remote training, I would be a good test to figure out the apps and tracking for a client that is in another city.

Well, this was March, four months ago. Anyone that knows anything about fitness will tell you it takes 3 months, minimum for a person to see real results in training. I have been lifting for building muscle, which is very different than what I've done in the past. The other difference is having a good recovery regime, important in your 50s.

The attention I am getting from women now is amazing. Seriously, I always knew chicks loved guys with muscles but until you actually experience this just don't know. In 4 months, I've gained 10 lbs of muscle, from 185 to 195. I have had to buy new suits because the old ones no longer fit.

@We_ArE_VeNOM is correct. Nothing else you can do will make you more attractive to women than hitting the gym and building muscle mass. I've always said 'be fit', which is a must, but if you add muscle while you are doing this is even better.

I do not have to put much effort into my diet or workout routines because I am blessed with the warrior genetics of West Africa & Norman Vikings from Scandinavia. I do regularly get mistaken for an athlete or such in public places. The funniest one was when I was in New Zealand and noticed that I was getting infrequent stares from men at random places. One night, some guy came up to me while we were eating and straight up asked me if I was this famous professional rugby player and I said no, I am American and have zero idea who that is. To summarize my post, muscles get mainly attention from Dudes not Chicks. I think everyone should be active in a sort of way that maintains good health, but don't go sacrificing your body unless you play for the local professional sports team.

Yes, it is true, and anyone who says differently is lying or doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Though I’m not as tall or big as the OP, I am in mid 40’s, been lifting since teenage years (thought not all those years were consistent, and entered a natty bodybuilding show and won it in my mid 30’s.

I get IOI’s regularly when out and about, though I’m uninterested because I’m married with children. Just the other day at Costco, I got flagrant IOI’s from a few women.

If you are middle aged, very muscular, even just moderately attractive (you don’t need to be a Chad), and carry yourself and speak with poise and confidence, you will attract many women, considering most middle-aged men aren’t very muscular.

OP: If you don’t mind me asking, are you natural? Are you somewhat lean? Near 300 at 6’3” is enormous, even if your bodyfat is high and you have much muscle mass.

6’3”, lean, and 300 natural is impossible.

Sorry, but you are WRONG here.

A well-built man will get attention from men and women; but not in the same way.

The attention from men will be verbal, overt, and plainfully obvious.

The attention from women will be nonverbal, subtle, and indirect.

The chick mentioned at the gym had given me attention without uttering one word.

If it weren't for my masculine, stocky frame, I would have been just an average Joe at the gym who she wouldn't have paid any mind (like the dude she rejected).

You have to place yourself in that position to get those looks, though.

And also pick up on the signals.

I think everyone should be active in a sort of way that maintains good health, but don't go sacrificing your body unless you play for the local professional sports team.
This is like saying, "Don't drink Gatorade unless you are an athlete".

Fallacious.

Listen, man...

Even though I cannot stress it enough, I will continue to stress:

Hit the Gym!!

There is obviously a lot of confirmation bias on this forum, and you guys don't listen to sh!t I tell you.

Everything that I advise has been proven to work for me, and I only share with you my own true life experiences.

The bottom line is this...

Go to the gym and build muscle mass.

Lift heavy.

I am not here to brag, but I will share with you how much hard work, dedication, and consistency have paid dividends for me in terms of..

1. My physical appearance.

2. My confidence.

3. Compliments from others.

As far as physical appearance, I am 6'3 and now at 299 lbs. I have a stocky-muscular frame.

I get SO many compliments on my physique from other guys (no homo).

Guys: Strangers come up to me and ask me did I play football.

I've been told I need to try out for the Arizona Cardinals.

I was told by a police officer that if he had to deal with guys my size on a daily basis, he would quit his job.

I was told by a dude that I have an "Incredible Hulk" thing going on.

Those are just a few, and doesn't even scratch the surface on just how many compliments I get.

I get compliments almost on a daily basis; from strangers and new acquaintances.

I get so many compliments nowadays....at first, it was all surprising.

But now, it is expected.

I expect that when I go out, I am going to get complimented at least once.

My wife works as a cashier at a grocery store. One day, I went up to her job after I came from the gym (she was getting ready to get off).

I stood at the front end of her register, but a little distance away.

I kid you not, 75% of the people in the store stared at me in awe...men and women....customers and employees.

Speaking of which, the wife was taking her sweet ass time at the register...so I decided to walk around the store to pass time.

There was a black woman grocery shopping with her man.

As he was checking out the labels on a box, she was checking me out as I walked past them.

I get verbal compliments from men (no homo).

I get choosing signal compliments from women.

Women: As I mentioned, I get choosing signals from women, mainly in the form of stares.

I started a new job, and one of the women labeled me "the human forklift".

When I first started, most of the women liked what they saw.

Although most of them are older white ladies who are all either married or unattractive, however in their own special ways, they let me know on a day-by-day basis that I am the man.

There is a cute Latina lady there who is crushing on me.

Again, I haven't even scratched the surface, people.
-----

I said all of that to say this...

I am not here to brag. Not at all.

I am telling you guys the benefit of building muscle mass.

By becoming a better physical version of yourself, your chances of attracting women will increase.

I am confident I can get any woman that I want. Call me crazy, but that is the way I feel.

If you put in the work and trust the process, you will feel the same way too.

Not only should you do it to promote a healthy lifestyle for yourself and others, but in terms of dating/attraction...this is the best way to kill two birds with one stone.

Build muscle mass.
It's how I pulled a hot 25 year old at the water park who basically hit on me when she saw me walking around with my shirt off...

A good body does lots of free talking for you without you opening your mouth.

Talk to'em!!

All natural. No juicing.

The main thing was turning the frame into mostly muscle.

3 months in, and the hard work is paying off.

Everything has increased (muscle mass, confidence, and compliments).

That is how I know the sh!t works.

6’3”, lean, and 300 natural is impossible.
I agree.

I'm 6'4" and about 235 and I can consider myself a big guy, if you are weighing close to 300 pounds you are overweight, maybe even obese. Being some guy that goes to the gym and puts up a lot of weight on the bench press or other stationary lifts may impress gym bros but women don't find the look attractive. Also, at your age you shouldn't be carrying that kind of weight and you are creating health risks. You'd be in much better shape, look better, feel better and be much healthier if you lost 50 pounds or more.

I would get some, most likely, considering I’m moderately attractive. But I believe my physique increases interest.

I am married. So I don’t talk to women other than as needed (eg, work, “thank you,” “good morning,” etc.).

I have banged around 55 women and I think only a handful of them said anything about my muscles lol.

Of course.

A man can have a handsome face and draw interest.

But a man with a handsome face with muscles; he will draw more interest.

Just like a woman with a cute face is one thing.

But a woman with a cute face, phat ass, big titties...a different world.

I know you understand...I am emphasizing this for others.

I am married. So I don’t talk to women other than as needed (eg, work, “thank you,” “good morning,” etc.).
If you are happily married and doing the right thing in these streets...what the hell are you doing on this forum?

Sounds like you know a lot about this stuff.

Well, you should know that there is a huge difference in 300lbs of mostly fat, and 300lbs of mostly muscle...and we all know that muscle weighs more than fat.

That is where things like BMI (body mass index) come in to play.

Being some guy that goes to the gym and puts up a lot of weight on the bench press or other stationary lifts may impress gym bros but women don't find the look attractive.
I already shared with you some of my experiences.

Maybe you are a 6'4 / 235lb guy that does not get props from other men and/or IOI's from women.

I can't say I share your experience, because I get looked at with admiration when I'm out.

I even got a couple today.

Was at work walking past the break room.

There was a black woman walking out the room and seen me passing by, and said "Ok.." while looking back at me.

It was a "Looking good, big fella. Looking good." kind of ok.

Then she walked past my area a little while later just to get a another/better look at me.

And then we have another chick who appears to be a new employee.

She was walking by my area, saw me, and appeared all too eager to say hi to me while smiling from ear to ear.

It was pure admiration, bruh.

Every day, bruh.

Also, at your age you shouldn't be carrying that kind of weight and you are creating health risks. You'd be in much better shape, look better, feel better and be much healthier if you lost 50 pounds or more.
Naw I'm straight.

When you lift weights, you burn fat while building muscle.

Two birds, one stone.
