My gym has a surplus of men in the free weights/barbells area. The cardio areas and fitness classes have more women than men.

Women are always "on". We often joke about how women will fix themselves up just to go to drugstore to buy chapstick or something. They do this in the event they come across a worthy guy.

If you ask them directly sure they will say it's not the case, they supposedly dress up for other women or some other reason. They've been putting one over guys with that one for a long time. Nothing more than a manipulation tactic to look strong and secure, as if they don't need attention or validation.

The thing about a pub is that even if it is failed evening in picking up a chick, it is still something that is not at all painful, and can be interesting in its own right just shooting the sheet with other blokes. Who the h3ll can say that about a loud nightclub?

It all depends on the venue. Country dance bars, karaoke bars, and upscale lounges will almost always have slightly more women.
