Not exactly a novel thread, but I thought I’d make it anyways. It’s a little bit difficult to search for since the keywords are so general.

So at this point, I think we all know that you shouldn’t buy girls at bars drinks lest you be used for your money. We also know that if you meet a girl on the dance floor, it’s preferable to move her off it at some point so you can talk and continue the seduction.

One issue I’ve run into is: how do you bring a girl to the bar without her expecting you to buy her a drink? Many of the times when I bring a girl to the bar, she expects me to buy her one and it’s a little awkward when I don’t. It throws off the momentum of the set a bit.

By the same token, I am done being used for drinks lol. Is there a smooth way to handle this? I’ve found this situation coming up a lot more as of late.

You meet a girl in a bar, there’s no drink pay obligation. Nice if you do though…

You Take a girl to a bar, it then becomes a date and gentlemen usually pay on dates unless they want to be labeled cheap…
You lead, you pay

I definitely agree. I’m more referring to when going for the same night pull at a bar, when I meet the girl and tell her “Come grab a drink with me.”

It seems a lot of the time the girls expect me to buy them a drink.

I was discussing this with my wing too. Not too sure what to say other than “I don’t buy girls drinks” lol

You did the drink invite, You pay.
Or be labeled a cheap creep with all the girls she knows in the bar …

This whole Don’t buy women drinks mantra sprung up from the concept of a man not letting a girl string him along for free drinks or dinners out. It’s not to be taken literally and you need to be able to recognize when you’re getting strung along…

If there’s nothing happening after a drink or two, Move on to another girl.
I’ll buy every girl in the house a drink until I find one that dry humps my leg or starts playing the no shoe footsie game …

If you bring girls to a bar and they use you for drinks, these are not your friends lol.

But if you're talking random sloots, you just say "first rounds on me" or "first rounds on you, and I'll get the next, cool?"..
Just that simple. If the girls dont like that, they don't like you or grew up with some weird messed up values or lack of.

One or two drinks doesn’t hurt if she buys you one back. If she expects me to get drinks for any of her friends I’ll straight next them on the spot and walk to another bar area.

Pulling girls all over the club, asking her to the bar and isolating all come with a cost, they’re right, you’re looking mad cheap out here.

If you've arranged to have a first date at a bar, you're likely going to be the one paying for all the drinks. That includes your drinks and her drinks.

The whole Idea of buying a girl a drink is that you supposedly had an exclusive one on one time with her to shoot your shot. If you couldn't do that in the timespan it took to drink a drink, too f-in' bad....

If you don't want to buy your date's drinks then don't take them to the bar. find another way to entertain .

The drink buying maneuver can be used at the bar as part of an approach or on a first date to shoot a shot.

Over time, when I have done nightlife approaches, I've typically done my approaches without buying drinks. It's difficult to not buy drinks either on an approach or on a first date.

Why wouldn't you buy her a drink if you are on a date with her?

The don't buy a drink rule is only valid if it's some random girl you meet in a bar not a girl you have talked prior and are meeting for a date.

At least for me, if you aren't even willing to buy a woman a drink you come off as being a cheapskate. And when I say buy a drink that doesn't mean have her order a $100 glass of champagne or have like 4 $20 glasses of wine.

It's called the cost of doing business. It would be like a taxi driver complaining that he has to spend money on gas to drive people places.

If money is a huge issue then do something free like walk/talk in a park.

Instead of taking her to the bar, take her to a dark corner.

This can only be a problem when you have volume, but no results. She only "used " you when she didnt spread her legs or gave you at least something, right? If you date 1 girl a week, you'll spend 40 bucks at most. And it can only be 40 when you guys hit it off. Next thing you try to get her home and feck her.

If you cant afford drinks you shouldn't date but use your time to make more money. It's really simple like that.

It's impossible to ask a girl for drinks and not pay anything. I am happy at very fecking least we talk about drinks, and that food is out of the question nowedays.

I should have clarified: this refers to a Nightgame approach where you’ve just met the girl. I’d definitely buy a girl some drinks on a date.

In many Nightgame approaches, the woman will walk off as soon as you buy her a drink.

Something’s wrong with the venue, the image a man projects, or his personal demeanor and communication skills if women think they can play him like a chump that way.

I personally don't buy drinks for women when I am out. They are grown people and can take care of themselves. Every now and then it might happen that I am hitting
it off with one, and I am happen to get a drink for myself and offer her one. Even if I do this I'll first analyze what's she actually drinking. Because I rather use buying a drink as an excuse to finish the conversation, get her number and leave.

You shouldn't lead with your wallet. Newsflash, most women like to get shyte for free. Ofcourse they'll use you if you offer drinks. If anything, offering drinks out of nowhere might actually kill the attraction.

Yes, it is possible for a woman to walk off soon after a drink buy in a night game approach. I know a 6'4" guy with 100+ notches who has had that happen. Drink buying in an approach wasn't a regular move for him but he did do it and he did have women walk off. If a 6'4" ex-athlete has it happen, then more ordinary guys will have it happen.

I have been able to do the vast majority of my night game approaches since turning 21 without buying a woman a drink. It's not necessary in order to arrange a date, which only requires a 5-15 minute conversation. You might need it later in an interaction to close a same night lay. It depends on your goals in a nightlife venue.

Late nights in a nightlife venue are better for getting the same night lay, especially late nights on Friday and Saturday.

If a man wants to use nightlife venues for arranging first dates, the best play for that is earlier in the evening, usually the 5-8 PM weeknight Happy Hour type time frame. Late nights on less prime nights could play either way. If it's 10:45 PM on a Tuesday night and a man is doing approaches, he could arrange futures or go for the same night close. In that situation, the same night close is likely the stronger play.
