What was your job & lifestyle during this? Energy levels can easily be manipulated by your exercise and diet alone.
2019 me:
I made 72K for the year
I weighed 170 pounds, benched ~205 max, probably ~15% body fat
I could pass for 28-ish while being 35 (no grey hair, no wrinkles, etc)
I had a lot of energy, was mostly happy. I did not like some of the people that I was working with, but it was manageable.
I played volleyball every Monday with a lot of people in their 20's. We had a big group.
I also set up events for the university that I graduated from, met some young women there.
And I can go on about the details. My social, financial, family, physical, etc. were all in great shape.
2020 me:
I made $19,492 for the year. That's the worst year I've had since living as an adult. I did not take any unemployment compensation because I felt that getting paid for not working was beneath my dignity.
Stopped going to the gym
Married a woman that I should not have married and began regretting that decision immediately.
Had to take care of said wife because she didn't have a job, nor had a vehicle. I had to support her 100% Didn't even like her that much.
Had a few other financial things come up, such as having to replace a refrigerator, car, etc.
Lost my health insurance, then due to all of the stress, had a panic attack. I thought I was having a heart attack and went to the hospital. That cost me some money.
The friends and acquaintances that I had all disappeared.
My grandmother began losing her memory and had serious health problems.
My sister and brother in law got into a car accident. My brother in law lost function in the lower half of his body, and my sister has serious back problems (luckily my nephew was fine).
By the end of 2020, I was in the worst shape of my life in many ways.
Right now:
It's looking like I made around 60K for 2022
My health, in different aspects is coming back.
Now I have grey hairs and wrinkles, that last three years have been tough, but I'm getting things back together. I look forward to getting my energy back and going on dates with young women again. That's one of my goals for the year.
