Cozy rooms to prevent LMR

I was reading on reddit, and came across a conversation along the lines that women dwellings are more "cozy" than mens. I've thought about female vs male rooms that I've been in, and notice this seems to be true that women have more comfortable spaces. It got me thinking that if this could be a factor to lower the chances of last minute resistance. I'm wondering what experienced don juans think.

The trick is to have a place that screams class. Art on walls, window treatments, quality furniture, area rugs all speak of taste and class. Hide the console. Put some nice picture books on the coffee table, have a clean kitchen and immaculate bathroom. Exude class, it speaks of being established and trustworthy - make your pad a place that is inviting and comfortable a place people like to hang out in.

I have NEVER had a new woman over that didn’t give it up. It works.

If a chick asks who decorated the place you know you’re on the right track and differentiated.

I suck at making a place look classy, unless it’s the man cave. When I was single my Mom would come over and help me out in this area. Mom would put out the rugs, picture books, etc. like you mentioned @Pierce.Manhammer . I had several chicks come over and say “Hey are you sure you’re single? Single guys don’t typically fix a place up this nice!” If asked I told them the truth, gave my Mom the credit. And it never scared any women away. Overall I think it was good.

Your place needs to give off a vibe of your lifestyle that you have projected and create a perception what she can do when she moves in. I have art, hobbies, bar on display, but leave an area where women can imagine their ‘spot’ if things progress. It’s the imagination of moving in that seals the deal for me.

For the single dads out there, depending on what you’re trying to see happen you can explain away the extra bedrooms if you simply say you’ve got relatives that come over once in awhile and then you just have to get all the kids stuff into one of the bedrooms - I learned this the hard way a month ago.

Rugs and picture books make the place more home-y IE cozy. What are the etc things? I'm thinking it's stuff to make it more home-y.

She hung some nice paintings on the walls, a couple of which she painted herself as she was a great artist. She brought over some nice end tables instead of the sh|t ones I originally had. She put a very nice couch cover over my cr@ppy couch. She put nice towels and soap dishes in the bathrooms instead of my boring ones. She put out some nice fake plants (because she knew real ones would die under my watch). She hung up some pictures of trains since I am a railroad buff, and put some of my model railroad stuff on display. The picture books were also train related. Most of my man stuff was left in the mancave but the trains helped add a man touch to the living room. All in all, no woman I have ever been with even came close to what my Mom could do with a room.

This re-affirms what I'm thinking. Since natural female behavior is to be solipsistic, they need to relate to one's living area to let their guard down. Soft stuff, pretty stuff, plants, home-y vibe, and I'm thinking ambiance. What was the man stuff?

I agree with the cleanliness part, that's a no-brainer. It's the rest that I don't get. We'll assume the woman already knows you're professionally established and you're not a bum. You mean to tell me she won't sleep with the guy because he has empty walls because he's more of the minimalist type?

The man stuff was neon lights, other beer/bar related items like glasses, a poker set, a real working full-sized stop light from a city, a mini fridge with a glass front. Also, a wired payphone that worked when I had a landline, a real slot machine, a real animal skill crane (like in Walmart Lobby), a Mame c0cktail table with classic 80s arcade games, a real Pepsi machine, and another standup arcade game. Basically, bar/rec room stuff. Plus surround sound TV system. I don't have all of this stuff out now since the house is smaller and the wife has her crap too. But when I was single, my place was off the hook!

It's not about the comfortable room being the lynch pin to success, but rather a lubricant. What you're responding with is like saying, "stop worrying about not dressing like a bum and act in ways that make them more comfortable around you."

He’s absolutely correct. You won’t believe me but I fvcked a girl over the summer in an apartment that literally had nothing but a tv in the living room and a bed upstairs. It was because I had just moved in and (spoiler alert) I had phone sex with her before our date

To clarify, they were one in the same. I had the living room upstairs which was all the stuff Mom did. Then downstairs was a finished basement with the man cave. When women came over we tended to watch movies upstairs in the living room, even though the surround sound stuff was in the man cave. It was comforable. This was also good because my bedroom was right off the living room, no hallway, just right there to the bed for the magic to happen. When we weren't watching movies or fvcking, chicks liked to come downstairs and play with my arcade sh|t and drink at the bar. Everyone loves classic 80s arcade games!
