Not only that but with the helpful Taliban China can get oil directly from Iran through an Afghani pipeline without those pesky Americans in the way.
I'd be more concerned about what this means for Taiwan and the South China Sea. This shows that despite its huge military, the USA basically has no will to fight.

Feels like a red herring. Will treat it as such. Don't let it distract you.

It's bad thing going on there. But knowing some of the soldiers there are serial child molesters and like raping boys, I don't see how they are worst than the Taliban. Heard some bad documentaries of the things that go on under the "legitimate Afgan government". They get what's coming to them if that's how they treat their children with impunity.

The taliban are so sexually oppressed that they have boy slave assistants to relieve that stress, not all that different from catholic priests.

The big difference when it comes to the Afgan Taliban is they’re living like it’s still the 7th century…
The others, mostly young and brought up to the current century by US occupation of 20 years.

Expect conflict and more casualties in-country ….

China now has direct access to Africa. Instead of having to sail through the South China Sea, they can set up railways through Afghanistan, connect to Iran, and have ports in Iran from which to sail to Africa.

Iran would welcome Chinese presence in their country to dissuade US aggression.

China now owns Africa's resources AND Afghanistan's resources, with the full consent of local leaders who are all on the payroll.

This is what WINNING looks like...

So although the US military is the greatest military force in the world, they have now been defeated by both the Vietcong and the Taliban.
Don't forget the real winner of the Iraqi War, Iran. They defeated us too.

All the bombs in the world don't mean sh!t if the people hate you and don't want you there. One thing united Pashtun, Tajik, Uzbek, and Hazara in Afghanistan and Sunni, Shia, Kurd, and Turkmen in Iraq and that's they all wanted us gone. We don't understand them and think military and economic power is all it takes but fail in political and cultural power. Again and again.

Yep, you can’t defeat an enemy if you can’t defeat what he’s thinking. An ideological war can always defeat conventional weapons. From Korea on, really doesn’t seem like military and political minds have learned anything…
Or perhaps it’s only about pumping money and power through the military/industrial complex, and fvck the lives lost on both sides…

Not only did a very small portion of people make this war happen, but they did it upon a lie and without spending a dime of their own money, this is actually horrifying

Exactly 100%. I posted this sentiment on Instagram because I was disgusted at how gullible people were being about the situation. Hardly anyone resonated with the post though. The Afghans hate the USA more than they hate the Taliban. The Afghan people fought among each other a little, but totally supported the Taliban against the US forces. They are very sympathetic to the Taliban. It is understandable. Anyone would unite if the "great satan"/ Western infidel invaded their home country.

The Afghan people didnt have anything to do with 9-11 neither did the Taliban. So in their eyes this is an unjust invasion. Of course they will unite. Also, the Taliban brought a sense of security to the region (even though they were sometimes brutal and annoying). The US backed Afghan govt only brought corruption.

List of China's gains from the US's failures:

1) All those rare metals to power their tech industry
2) A corridor (pipeline) to Iran's oil
3) Access to the Arabian sea-Suez Canal- Mediterranean Sea to increase their trade presence in Europe
4) The ability to strike on India's western front
5) Access to Afghanistan's opium poppy fields to power their pharmaceutical industry

My goodness, China has accomplished what both the US and the Soviet Union failed to do.... and they never had to fire a round or spend a dime to do it....
It really is amazing how incompetent America is, from the start they could of been doing what china is doing.

Yes, I think part of the problem is a lack of understanding of the situation on the ground. Maybe the intelligence services understand what is going on to some extent, but the general population back home and the politicians have a very poor understanding. This is why they make fatal mistakes like disbanding the Iraqi army (which led to the rise of ISIS) and pulling out of Afghanistan (leaving the Taliban to take over).

In the end, it ends up with a situation in which politicians are making decisions which affect events and peoples lives on the other side of the world without any real understanding of the consequences.

Afghans dont mind the Taliban as much as we think they do. Before we got there they were living peacefully with them. Yes they had to endure ridiculous religious laws but there was stability. The USA invades their nation based on a lie and then we install a corrupt puppet govt that was in many ways worse than the Taliban. Oh this was after killing thousands of civilians via airstrikes and setting their country 50 yrs backwards.

The people supported the Taliban. This is the only reason they even survived against the USA. Much like how the Vietnamese supported the Vietcong. Somehow the US propaganda machine has convinced everyone that we are the good guys and we need to stay. This is insanity.

It would be nice if we just focused on ourselves for once, pool money locally here at home, and kick out our own corrupted politicians that keep sending our tax dollars to other places that aren't us, or spending it on useless shvt. I liked pre WW when the most we only needed to care about was fighting bankers and powerhungry politicians at the polls, but here we are instead watching them enslave us while they invest their money in foreign lands. The sad part is that most of the population is so docile through entertainment, sex, and technology that they will not really rise up and do anything about it. As long as their dopamine keeps hitting.
