Our favorite harridan is at it again!
A couple of years ago, I too joined an expensive matchmaking agency. I had just come out of a seven year relationship, and was on the wrong side of 50.

I soon tired of online dating and receiving messages from over weight baldies who peppered their emails with childish emojis. I hankered to find Mr Right-for-me, a man who was suitably educated and a successful professional.

And so this is how I found myself, throwing money (my entire savings to be precise) to an upmarket matchmaking agency in central London. The agency claimed to filter out the undesirables, the mediocre and give clients the personal touch, so I handed over the hefty sum of £6,000.

Only mediocre to subpar 50+ year old men would be interested in her.

Realize this: When a woman becomes a paying client of a matchmaker, it is generally a bad sign. Women have an ordinate number of options. If she wants to go out into the world, she will typically field approaches at bars, though most women will get some non-bar approaches from more courageous men. If going outside of her place of residence to meet men in real life sounds too difficult, she can field inquiries on swipe apps and her social media acoounts.

The woman who pay matchmakers to get matched are often career women 30+. There might be an attractive one in the mix, but she's typically divorced and childless due to being a high powered doctor, lawyer, or business executive female. Most men, even pansy beta males, don't want to be with a high powered career woman who puts her career first, even if her BMI is in the normal weight range. Then there are women who aren't physically attractive.

The people who fail with matchmakers are usually men. There are men who pay a high sum of money to a matchmakers and often end up without a long term relationship to show for it. This is bad! You rarely hear this story in the media though. Some of that is the fault of the man, who would be better off getting coached to be less beta rather than spend money to be fixed up as a beta male.

The vast majority of people don't become matchmaker clients or get into an LTR due to a matchmaking entity.

I actually tried a matchmaking service called It's Just Lunch a few years back. OLD was a joke, the women were nut jobs, dating 6 other guys, yada, yada, and as a very busy man who owns a business, I honestly don't have a lot of time for all the sorting and filtering and crazy BS. IJL, though not cheap, wasn't as much as this woman paid. I dated women through IJL for about a year and a half, maybe 1-2 per month.

Positives:
The women were of much higher quality than OLD. They are screened. All had decent jobs or careers and didn't appear to be needy, bitchy (maybe one), or psychos. All were well-mannered, not checking their phones every 5 minutes, polite, well-dressed, mature, good conversationalists. I could tell IJL did take the time to try and match me with someone who matched most of my criteria. You fill out a huge questionnaire on who and what you're looking for. They call you after the date for your recap on how it went and seem to continually make adjustments to get you people closer to your target. I also think there are at least 2x and maybe 3x the amount of women in the program than men.

Negatives:
Mainly appearance. I'm picky about that. I'm a bit older so the women they set me up with were mid-30's to mid-40's. Most were in the HB6-7 category, so just ok. Except for one that I thought WTF when I showed up (maybe a HB5), most were decent looking but certainly not knockouts except for one (the bitchiest one, of course). The youngest one was maybe a HB7.5 (had two dates and banged her) but not someone I'd actually date-date. The hottest one, a HB8.5 and former Miss Switzerland (legit, showed me the pics) was nice but became really pushy and kind of bitchy when I wouldn't text her back "fast enough" or go clubbing with her and her friend after we had dinner one night. She was around 40-42. We had two dates and I ejected.

I'm no longer in their program. Overall I'd say the experience was "good" and IJL is a good choice for guys who are really busy, maybe a bit shy or socially awkward, recently divorced and lacking dating acumen and game and maybe someone who needs dating advice, though it's all women working there, and I'd never take dating advice from 99% of the women I know.

In her condition, what exactly did she expect? If dressed up with makeup she looks like this, imagine what she looks like fresh out of the shower!

She could have saved herself all that money by taking a trip to Egypt or Ecuador to fish from the deep pools of green card hunters

A woman that makes an effort to meet men is probably out of options.

A woman that PAYS to meet men is train wreck in progress.

Regarding that woman, if you photoshop her hair short while leaving her face unchanged, will look like the middle aged guy that fixed your water pipes and air conditioning.

I've actually had matchmakers trying to recruit me via OLD. They would match with me and basically ask me a few interview questions then ask if I want to be one of the available guys for their female clientele.
