Interesting ten minute video.

I refuse to fap. I makes me feel unmanly. I can relate to what Joe is saying because that is how i feel. I would lower my standards to get a release. I'd rather do that then fap though. Feel like a total loser after fapping.

NoFap is something every man should do (this includes not watching porn obviously).

Your mind will be more clear, you'll be more assertive/confident towards women and last longer in bed, with the climax being that much better. I seriously do not understand why not everybody does this.

Porn is keeping a lot of men in a state of beta. They get an instant release whenever they feel like it and don't put any effort into meeting women. They're not "hungry" enough because they feel like they have a porn filled refrigerator at home.

Best decisions I ever made in my life:

* Stopped watching porn and jacking off
* started working out
* Stopped giving a shiit what people thought of me
* Stopped giving a shiit what people thought of me again because this is difficult

Studies are mixed. People want to have this be some revelation but it just isn't supported via studies.
Well then, studies have been either conducted by women, male reseachers who kept fapping or men in a relationship where they have sex a few times a week.

When I started noFab I also didn't have sex for almost 3 weeks. At the end I was almost exploiding.

Studies are mixed. What a load BS, no offence

Have you yourself ever tried nofab?

The studies are not mixed. There are now dozens of neurological studies that examine the effects of porn on the brain, and several have found that porn causes the same detrimental changes to the brain as abusive drugs like cocaine and heroin. There are no valid studies that indicate otherwise.

They are mixed because some studies indicate that watching either a lot or a little porn helps with ED issues and only those who watched a "medium" amount saw negative changes to erectile rates.

I haven't gone without actual sex for over 3 weeks in years so I don't need to jack off to get a release...I can just wait for the next time I have sex.

And again...you cannot conclude that just because something works for you it works for everyone. Common mistake people make...that is why they do studies in the first place....to better represent a valid sample size of the population with controls in place to get relevant data that can actually be used.

A sample size of 1 while relevant to you personally has no relevance to anyone else.

So seeing you never experienced it and never even tried it, do you honestly feel you are well placed to post stuff on how mixed the research results were? Like really?

A sample size of 1 while relevant to you personally has no relevance to anyone else.
Agreed. But having done so myself is still better than "never done it before, but I'll tell you about how useless it is"

These posts are what really have no relevance to anyone else.

Thanks for posting this. No need for the attitude but this seems to be your style.

Still, I stand by my post. These reseach results don't tackle this. No fapping increases your lust for sex and thus forces you to go out and meet women with whom the sex is then more rewarding and better. I haven't masturbated in years and this has changed my entire dating life. Before you could just jack off and you were good.. no need to find some girl that evening. Just drinking beer with the boys is enough. Fun night. A lot of men live lives like this and this is where no fapping and no porn can make all the difference.

I fail to see how this research debunks this. So I fail to see how the effects of noFab can be seen as mixed or even false. Yeah, they're mixed if you follow the claim that it gives you superpowers. I mean, claims as if your muscles will grow faster, you sleep better or you have less stress seem to be a bit far fetched to me aswell.

I'll stop arguing because this really isn't my style and I feel like an idiot for doing this. Competing in an Internet arguement is like competing at the special Olympics. Even when you win you're still a retard. I think we're talking about two different things here anyway man. Peace out.

I didn’t masturbate or even looked at naked woman from summer 2018 - summer 2019 for almost a year.
I didn’t notice higher libido an I felt like my sex drive completely died.
I’m not against no fap but it just didn’t give me the results I expected and I didn’t get superpowers from it.

I think we should differentiate between fapping using your imagination vs with porn. The latter is certainly very damaging, while the former can be done occasionally, I'd say.

You either use it or lose it, masterbating is like working out a muscle
You take too much time off and u begin to lose all your results

Beyond religious issues such as what content I am bringing inside the home, and fact that I should submit my body to God not to my own lusts, I think all the secular arguments about it are bs. There is too much repression as it is then even secularists even weighing on this.

There might be something in it. The way I've heard it explained is that it's like letting go of an addiction. Addictions give you pleasure but they stop you from investing in the real world, so in the long term they can affect you negatively.

However, I think the degree to which it effects a particular person in a negative way is fairly personal.

To date there is no scientific evidence that long-term abstinence from orgasm has any benefits -- and there are studies that show it causes decreases in testosterone levels and prostate health (one theory is that among wild animals ie. lions or primates, long periods without ejaculating is correlated with limited or no access to females, which results in hampered testosterone production and the development of "beta male" physiological traits ie. smaller size, smaller mane, etc).

As is known, all of the support for Nofap is anecdotal and subjective, and most likely placebo. Studies do, however, indicate that short-term abstinence (1-2 weeks) without ejaculating can result in temporarily elevated testosterone levels, but that returns diminish over longer periods.

Personally, I find that not fapping for short periods of time does increase my social assertiveness. Whether this is the result of elevated T or simply psychosomatic, I can't say. There is a sensation of having a "loaded gun." However, after about a week without fapping, I find that I am often distracted by sexual thoughts and I actually become irritable and impatient in general. I have no desire to "rise above" that and continue blue-balling myself for the pseudo-scientific benefits of some internet-based monastic exercise in self-deprivation. Busting a nut a few times a week is perfectly healthy.

If you really want a boost in mental clarity, focus, sleep quality, testosterone production and sense of well-being, quit drinking. Completely. Remove alcohol from your life. The hormonal and mental benefits of sobriety are scientifically supported and are pretty obvious when you've gone a few weeks without a drink.
