So I decided to grow a beard over the lockdown period, I'm lucky in the sense that my beared grows well & and pretty even all round.

I trim & shape that thing on a regular basis, nothing worse than a wild looking, shapeless beard.. I keep my hair very short & have quite a muscular frame!

Anyhow with my height being 5ft8, the muscles & now the beard have definitely given me a much more masculine look.

I added a beardless picture on a dating app and got average matches 5-6.. I then put on a picture with a beard, looking muscular & niclely cut shirt & my matches definitely went up.. More matches & more matches with 6-7

anyhow moral of the story is.. Build some muscles & grow a fukin beard.. Stop complaining like a Little biitch. Lol

I decided to grow a beard aswell but the villagers tried to kill me with spading forks. Apparentely I do not rock that look :)

Pity though, because it's a proven fact that most girls prefer men with beards. They are considered to be more manly, more dominate and have more testosteron.

Other girls are not into beards at all, like 20% or so

Agree 100%. I grew a beard over quarantine and I never had one. Wayyyy more looks from women. TRT can help if you can't grow one. Mine took forever to even out. Had to gradually grow it and shave down. I like the 9mm length but you HAVE to keep it shaped or it looks like complete ****. Also requires products to look good. (Balms etc).

I always try growing one nut i end up looking like a taliban or something. My facial hair is thick and dark. Very dark. I have noticed the guys with lighter color and thinner facer hair can grow the best looking beards. Mine just ends up looking dirty. Especially themustache part. It grows fast thouggh. I can grown a light one in 5 days to a week then full in 2 to 3 weeks.

I'm more of a "sexy stubble" kind of guy but do agree that some women are attracted to well-kept, usually shorter, beards. They do make you look older though so a consideration if you're late 30's - 40's trying to pull younger women, as is my forte. I have a really good jawline and high cheekbones which girls seem to go for, so I'm remiss to cover things up too much.

Work with what you have and affect that which you can affect.

The muscles thing has been proven to be attractive, no matter what some of these clueless, lame-ass newbies (one in particular) are saying here: Women Like Strong Men - Study Results

How do you deal with beard itch? I tried growing one, but couldn't deal with the itching.

One girl was physically excited about my beard, and was biting my chin. That was frankly weird.

I let my beard grow Bin Laden style during quarantine, revenge for all my hair falling out after chemo a couple years ago. Not a good look even stuck indoors.

Got a regular CAT scan booked for tomorrow. I've had cancer twice so I'm on my guard, it's messed up a lot of plans in the past, and cost me a fortune. I do also have a slightly thinning scalp, noticeable from above. I plan to get treatment when WuFlu finally calms down, maybe even take a trip to Turkey if I have to. It would be an adventure.

Agreed.
I was actually negatively surprised to find out that some men in the US actively choose to shave their face 100%. I totally get that some men just don't grow a beard, which is due to genetics and out of one's control. But if you do not belong to that category, a beard is an extra accessory for you to look good. Be it trimmed, short, long , whatever you prefer, as long as it's taken care of.

I have never been able to grow a beard. I’ve got thicker head hair than three guys my age combined but no beard no matter what.

You have to keep it moisturized like skin. I use a good beard balm and it kills that itch when its dry.

My only problem with my beard is my thin mustache. The rest is thick enough, but when it comes to the mustache it looks like a rat. I usually shave it off, it kind of gives me a jihadist look. Sometimes to avoid that, I try the Wolverine beard style.

Any tips for thickening the mustache?

I´d say that depends on your face.

I also kept sporting pics with me shaved clean AND with stubble. That way i had a foot in both doors and could switch in a few minutes/days to whatever the next chick prefered but i never grew a real beard. There are definately women out there wanting only guys with a real beard, thats a fact and it might be due to a fashion-trend that started with the Hippsters.

One point to keep in mind........ from a certain point in life, you look 5-10 years younger without a beard.
With a hairy face i look like 42, without i get away as 35´ish.
