Not a political thread, just wanna know if there is a date to look forward in terms of those two events.

When will the deal will be sealed for the senate? is the last stimulus approved and effective?

Again not a political thread, just need to plan my longs and shorts on the stock market.

Can anyone please briefly explain me the possible outcomes within these two factors? better yet is there already a schedule for further support packages?

I already received my $600 stimulus. If the Democrats don’t win the senate then I think that stimulus is over for the regular citizen. Maybe corporations will get something

If I recall correctly there was a 1200$ planned for the coming weeks, is that correct?

No. Only $600 coming, Senate wouldn’t vote on the $1200 exclusively, so you get the 6.
The election result ? Nobody knows yet, tune in tomorrow for the first clue as to how the current mess plays out…
Understood, so hipotethically what conditions need to exist in order to have a stimulus plan for the following year?
I'm not familiar with the dinamics within the american institutions when it comes of approving stimuli.

I read some analysts claiming that there will be regular stimulus packages till spring but again nothing sure, so trying to figure it out.

Also the checks are usually helycopter money style and given to any citizen or requires to be below a certain wealth threeshold?

One thing for sure is that if millennials get regular money from the gov and use robinhood or webull to buy stocks, stuff like tesla or nio will sky rocket regardless their sales.

That would depend on the power dynamics about who makes the laws. That fact is currently an unknown and your question unanswerable …
Guessing the future without a complete set of currently known facts is usually a dead-end outcome scenario…

Everyone who got one the first time should be having the money show up in their accounts. I just got mine.

If you are trying to predict the government's effect upon the markets, the fed does more than Congress in regard to the money supply. Look at a chart of the money supply and it went up in response to great recession, never went back down, and now has gone way up again. The fed is buying corporate junk bonds so the corporations can buy back shares of stock, pushing up the price. That is why valuations are so excessive now, which cannot continue forever.

Since February I’ve been strictly doing day trades, in and out same day quick like a bull fvcking a heffer. This market is too volatile, in my opinion, to hold any positions overnight.

The $600 stimulus was paid out to most US Citizens already. As long as Grim Reaper Mitch McConnell is Senate Majority leader, there will be no additional payments to ordinary citizens (however corporations will be handsomely taken care of).

From an investor standpoint, there is nothing to worry about. The US Fed and Congress will always make sure to juice the stock market.

I’d imagine that protests tomorrow and the forthcoming days thereafter would need to be a failure so Kamala Harris gets in. They want to keep the economy shut down which would force another stimulus package. POTUS wanting to reopen which would mean there’d be no need for another one. Granted, it’s more so up to the governors but the pressure would be on and he wouldn’t pass any federal mandates/laws regarding this stuff.

It won’t pass if the Republicans control the senate. Plenty of money for tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy. Nothing for those who need it.

Shaking the magic (8) ball:

I’m not giving you a formal warning for this for posting something political. But I am going to point out that this is probably the trigger post for the next post where someone who is pro republican will personally attack you, an argument will start, and it will lead to the mods deleting posts and closing threads. And you guys will accuse us of censorship. Prove me wrong. I will leave this thread alone if it stays civil. But I’m not betting a quarter it will.

I can't wait for SHTF. Again nothing political, just an excuse for me to start drinking. My $600 was deposited on 12/31/20 into my account tho.

$600 isn’t a lot of money. But it’s better than nothing. Average rent in my state (NJ) is $1,800 / month. I don’t see this paying any real bills and it took months to get it. Maybe 1 student loan or car payment.

What are you guys spending it on?

It appears Dems will win the Senate. If so, there will be no more stimulus. Mark my prediction. A one party government won't do anything for the average Joe

No pun intended

As much as the printer going BRRR for the whole year wont be healthy in the long term, we cant deny that the fed printing (digitally) and the gov granting stimuli would be a blessing for the stock market.

Those who didnt bother to educate themselves about it deserve to be left out, for once even everyday joes given enough will power can benefit from the settings.
