Do you think women today are so solipsistic that instead of "death do us part" it's "you lose your job do us part"?

Yes. The Derek Chauvin incident is a more extreme example. Most women aren't married to guys about to be tried for murder. However, when a man loses his white or blue collar job due to layoff, he will often lose his girlfriend or wife at the same time. Some girlfriends and wives will tolerate a short job search, but many will be itching to hit the road.

Great point. Terrible example and is in bad taste. You did not prove anything by that article simce the ex wife may not want to continue living with a monster. The wifes of the men who killed Emmit Till also divorced them after they were aquitted of the grusome murder of a Black boy but told the truth to a magazine interview afterwards. Some women have souls and wont stand for a depraved sicko husband like that. There is symbolic equivalence between George Floyd and Emmet Till. Emmit Till started the seeds of change for the civil rights movement just like George Floyd murder has sown the seeds of a a similar movement against systemic racism. The limits have crossed again from what a civilized society can tolerate.

She is trying to protect her assets so that she isn't on the hook for legal bills and lawsuits.

It hits two spots

1) The guy did something really wrong, he's a murderer, so no wonder wants to divorce him
2) Staying married with a murderer would touch exactly on the "feminine shame" spot, which would directly affect her social status, and you gentlemen already do know that status is everything for a woman
