I'd like to know how to go about this situation. My GF recently revealed to me that a coworker of hers mentioned that she heard I messed around with a mutual acquaintance of theirs. The woman I supposedly did this with I was introduced to at a gala months ago by my GF. That's the only time I've ever seen this person. I don't even remember who she is exactly. My GF approached me about this last night and I told her that was complete garbage and ridiculously untrue. She mentioned her name a few times and she could tell I had no idea who she was referring to, so she believed me and now it's over and done with. However, it's the next day and I'm still aggravated by this. Somebody fabricated something for god knows why and I'd like some more details. However I don't think it would be wise to bring it up again, otherwise she may thing something's really up. What do you guys think? I hate that my name is being dragged in the mud like this.

Coworker drama is common. Enslaved people bored out of their minds, need entertainment. Typical broken society garbage.

Hopefully your lady is immune to BS. If not, walk.

Leave it alone. You said your piece, you denied what is an untruth.

Only guilty ppl nag and harp on items, and that is because they need constant reassurance that everyone else believes their lies.

You don't need reassurance that she believes you because YOU know it's a lie.

Sure, you can worry about said go worker lying in you again, but you can't control the future, so why bother worrying.

Let it go and move on

I had same sht with one of my gf's. It ended up in break up. There is no coworker telling her sht, it is just her ass manipulating your ass. Red flag bro. Consider dumping.

Really good point here. I wouldnt dump yet tho

The answer for everything on this forum? Just dump them. No idea why people even bother posting when this is always the most agreed upon resolution for any situation.

This is imo highly probable.

Or women at her work like to create drama.

Talk to either the person who told the lie or the girl you allegedly messed around with, but don't get angry or aggressive. Confront them like you're confused, you want to understand, you want to clear the air, etc.

She's not going to spread rumors about you if she thinks that she'll have to explain them to your face, but if she didn't do anything someone else is trying to **** with you/your gf OR your gf was lying.

I disagree with the people saying that you should just leave it alone. If someone shoots at you, do you ignore them until they land a hit? Of course not! The last thing you want to do is let them practice their lying and rumor spreading until your gf dumps you without question next time. (Or let numerous rumors build up and give each other credibility)

Because it's a waste of time. Today she is manipulating you like this, tomorrow she will do something else to manipulate you, she will push whatever buttons that she think works on you.

That would be like advocating every time you need to change your oil, put new brake pads on or get something fixed on your car you should just dump it and get a new one.

Improvement doesn't come by avoiding situations it comes from successfully navigating them.

I wish I knew. She has told me on a couple of occasions she doesn't trust her coworkers.

I wish it was this easy. I don't know her coworkers nor do I believe I'll ever see that one woman I supposedly messed around with. It was a one time thing. I would have to wait until her next work function to run into them again. Who knows when that'll be.

The advice of dumping them doesnt apply to every situation and a lot of gents on here need to understand that. To add to your example, a situation of "dump it" would apply if you just got the car and are already having issues with it, ergo a lemon. Which is what a lot of guys need to be on the lookout for. My situation is with a woman who I'm considering moving in with in the near future. Not just going to dump her because she asked me if I messed around with another woman.

Lots of guys here don’t have steady girlfriends nor are in relationships and some give advice that applies to plates not long term girlfriends.

She asked, you were honest, and whoever this b*tch is that told her should be confronted but the reality is doing that will create all kinds of drama for you and your gf. Best thing for your gf to do is avoid spending nonessential time with co-workers she says she can’t trust anyway.

How your gf deals with the rumour is more important than the rumour.

A good gf will have your back and distance herself from toxic people who jeopardize the relationship.

If you really want to test her loyalty to you, tell her to never hang out or listen to those people ever again. She's mentioned she doesn't like them much and you don't need the drama.

I disagree here, he should not have to tell her imo.
She should come to that conclusion by herself.
You dont tell your gf who she can and cant hang with.

What coworker did there was clearly with bad intention. Intimidations, this is why she dont like her coworker.
Nasty ****
