Here is a collage of about 25 or so women who I would say represent my baseline standard (the minimum of what I would even entertain), all of whom have initiated contact with me by sending a personal message through OLD in the last 10 days or so (No winks or stupid sh*t). All are over 30 because I list myself as a 45 YO guy and tend to come up in their searches more than the younger ladies, which I do tend to draw more attention from in day to day life rather than online. My ad is a few months old and it is left blank, with the only exception of describing my perfect match, to which I simply wrote "cheesecake". I log in once every other day or so. There are I don't even know how many more like this since I first placed the ad.

I have no shortage of options to choose from whenever the mood strikes, and I just stay in good shape, I dress with some style, style my hair, have a youthful and energetic look and I have an indescribable "glow" that most of my male counterparts my age simply no longer have (They look tired, have the middle-aged belly, stopped caring about their clothes and hair and generally have a look in their eyes like they have been beaten down by life).

This is all before I even speak my first word, beyond which is where I believe my greatest strengths with women await.

A man's life can be very good beyond 30. He can prosper. He can enjoy women all the same as a younger man would. In fact, I would even say that if you take good care of yourself when you are young and have your sh*t together, it tends to get easier with age.

Why do you think it would get easier as you age? men are at most attractive right around 28-34...that's assuming you keep all your hair. Balding can be hugely detrimental to your appearance.

I don't have a grand philosophy on this. It's just something I noticed for myself. But if I was pressed for an answer, I would say it is a mix of several things. An older man can convey some very attractive, intangible traits just through the eyes that a younger man typically does not, for example. A chiseled look, wisdom, character... things that can be seen/sensed that adds to good looks. Being more experienced. More comfortable.... A man who has those few things and is happy with his life; still has ambition and adventure in his blood, is going to combine to have "that something" a lot of even younger men lack, let alone the older guys who hit the wall just like women do.

wouldn't you say the vast majority of women who are 25-30 want a man in the same age range?

I'm not saying they would not be open to dating a man who is 10 or 12 years older but they would have a strong preference for someone within 5-10 years, no?

I would say that is the tendency of how things go when you're talking LTRs and marriage, but otherwise, I personally see no age barriers when it comes to less than that. I routinely catch women in that 25-30 range checking me out day to day, and I seem to have no issues attracting women in their early 30's with OLD, several of which I have posted above. My father was in his early 30's when he married my mother who was 21 (and very attractive). He remarried at 52 to a 32 year old.

Just because people tend to do things one way doesn't mean you can't succeed in other ways.

I'm 29 and I'm sure I would get zero interest on dating sites unless I pursued fat/ugly women or women 10-15 years older than me. Decent looking ladies in that 24-33 range receive a billion messages a day so they look for the top 0.01% of men

I tried online dating when I was early 20s with pictures where everybody said I looked very handsome and a well written profile and I couldn't get any replies at all, much less dates. I figured it was because I'm only "well above average" instead of "totally elite" (which is what women want on dating sites nowadays)

I browsed male profiles once because I was just curious - holy moly at how much higher the quality is vs the female profiles. There are way way more attractive, successful, educated males than women on dating sites

I strongly doubt it. I look like garbage in pics compared to real life and I doubt my real life would be good enough to get women on dating sites anyways. Realistically, i'm like top 10-20 percentile of men in looks but top 10 percent is worthless online. Women on dating sites consider normal top 80 percent of men to be hideous, top 10% to be average and maybe 1% to be attractive

I'm not photogenic at all. I hate the camera, and I had to take hundreds of pics to find a few good ones that match what I look like in person, and so far, I have not disappointed anyone.

I work at a power plant and make ballpark what you said you make. I'm 5'9". I traded in my Audi for a Nissan.... The women I date who have passed up some of those other guys are not complaining.

maybe I'll try online dating in 9 months after my hair transplant is done. It's supposed to lower my hairline, giving me a slightly smaller forehead which will improve my overall facial structure

I figure i'm a 7 to 7.5/10 now. After the hair surgery, I'm hoping I can be a borderline 8/10
