Getting better results when heavier and relatively "fatter"?

Something that hasn't gone unnoticed to me is how my results have actually gotten significantly better lately over the past 6 months or so where I have been relative "fatter" than I normally am. I'm about 20 lbs heavier than what I normally am, about 205 lbs instead of 185 lbs. Body fat has gone from about 9% to 15-16% or so. But my results have improved a lot.

I am not sure what it is exactly. I noticed the same thing when I was traveling past this weight to get to my "ripped" weight, in that in this weight range I was getting hit on a lot by women. To be clear I don't look "fat"---I still look muscular, but to me personally, I feel fat. It seems women find me more attractive at a slightly heavier weight than at a leaner weight. Not sure if it's my face getting too skinny, or my body shape at that weight, or what it is, but it's definitely not the first time this has happened.

Not saying I didn't do OK when I was really muscular and in shape, I did. Lots of sex. But it was never as easy as it is now...I basically go on a date, and the woman goes gaga for me afterwards without me doing really anything other than what I normally do...that rarely happened before.

Has anyone else noticed they actually do better when they are slightly heavier than what they'd like but still muscular, even though the common thought is that being "ripped" gives you a huge advantage? Just another common notion I seem to be dispelling lately....

Facial atrophy. We lose bone and fat in our face as we age. Men over the age of 35 who carry super low bf carry that "starving" as opposed to "healthy" look and glow. When you are young, your face carries enough bone density and collagen to keep you looking healthy while in single-digit bf levels.

Hence, why Scupltra and Radiesse have become popular volumizers for facial volume as we age.

I'd say good face is a requirement. its the most basic stuff probably, for both men and women.I would personly would never bang a chick with ugly face and solid body...

being ripped and taller is bonus. being super ripped is better than being muscular and fat for a lot of younger women IMO.

Personally i think the 10-12% bodyfat is tge ideal range but it varies. Some dudes look malnourished at 12% so might look better at 13-14 maybe thats you

Also are you actually 15-16? Or are you overestimating because 16% means you would have some nice love handles and podge and if thats the case i doubt you look better than in the 12 range

I have some very slight love handles but there is no way they would notice because my back and shoulders are so wide...I can hide a lot of weight on my frame because of it before I start to look "fat".

I've lost 40 pounds since ending my LTR, and everyone says my face looks so much thinner. Wtf am I supposed to do to, eat ***** until my face gets stronger?

Not a reason to not stay in shape.
Lol, I can get "in shape" whenever I want really, and muscularity wise I'm still probably in the top 5-10% of guys. I still am working out, just been less careful about what I'm eating than normal

I cannot answer this question without seeing your bone structure.

A face with an aesthetically strong bone structure will look better with less fat.

A face with an aesthetically weak bone structure will look worse with less fat.

If you have an aesthetically weak bone structure and wish to keep lower bf levels, using 2-3 ccs of Sculptra or Radiesse is certainly an option to maintain fullness in your temples, jaw, cheekbones while holding single-digit bf levels. Or you can holder higher bf levels with a fuller face. If you elect the Sculptra/Radiesse route, ensure you use a board-certified dermatologist or surgeon who understands the anatomy of the face and whose practice revolves around these types of injections.

As you get older it takes longer to get back in shape. My advice is don't get out if shape. Enjoy all that poom poom.

Right behind you
Fat is what makes you look big. A dude who weighs 250 with 8% bf is gonna look a lot smaller compared to a dude who weighs 250 lbs with 20% bf.

Not at all. I've personally always done better when ripped/lean.

But, I think this is a personal thing. Not something that you can get real consensus on.

For example, women seem to like when I wear glasses - when the advice is not to wear any.

Doesn't mean the common notion is necessarily wrong. Just that it's a generalization.
I'm guessing it has to do with how my facial structure looks and assuming it looks better when I have more weight. Only thing I can think of.

What I've noticed over the years is those who maintain their lower body fat age better because their skin isn't all stretched out. Those who are overweight and then lose it tend to look much older after they've lost the weight. The older you get, the more difficult it is for the skin to "bounce back".

I have no clue if I do better while overweight or not because I've kept myself at around the same weight for the last 10 years or so. The only exception is right now, because I've been going through a lot of difficult stuff in the last few months and I'm 14 lbs heavier than I would like to be. I'm currently working on dropping the weight.

There could be more in play here

The effects of being in shape have given you more confidence?
Been sleeping better?
Feeling better about life?
Type of women has changed? When you are super lean and fit, 7's and below may see you as "out of their league"

There is much science to support that those who entertain a high-glycemic carb diet age faster than those who eat a low-glycemic or low-carb-diet. Naturally, a low-glycemic or -carb diet will keep you leaner/lower bf due to lower insulin release and spikes. So yes, I agree to the extent that those who are leaner most of their life age better.

However, despite the above, it is important for mature men over 35 yo to understand that unless you have an aesthetically strong facial bone structure, if you decide you want to get bf levels in the 8-10% range, your face will carry no/little fat and less collagen (due to age), thus while your body will look better, your face will appear de-voluminized. This does not mean you cannot carry a reasonable 12-14 bf% which is still lean or exercise the other methods I outlined in Post 10.

Would agree face and neck are good indicators, depending where the individual stores fat.

-With chin half way tucked in, if there's a doubling of the chin, fair to say excess fat is being carried.
-Equally, sunken eyes and dark circles are significant of undernourishment or at least poor nutrition.

Even from my own case study perspective, I've replaced carbs with vegetables in my evening meal and I've probably lost an inch on my belly in the last two months, with absolutely no other significant change and maintaining muscle mass; while people comment positively that I've lost weight.

Eating low carbs is not as necessarily important as eating low-glycemic carbs (though decreased calories through lower carbs will allow you to lose weight and appear leaner). Low-glycemic carbs will not spike insulin in the same manner as high-glycemic carbs, which causes damage on the cellular level, thus accelerated aging.

True thing. I was focusing on brown rice and muesli for the low acidity, but realised they are also high GI even compared to things like white pasta. Seems like beans and nuts are the best balance for every day use.

My first thought actually.

Kinda need to see the type women you are attracting.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.
