Family members at the scene identified the victim as Joe McKnight, former NFL player and local high school football standout.

The shooting, reported about 3 p.m., occurred at the intersection of Berman Highway and Holmes Boulevard.

A witness, who declined to give her name, said she was leaving a store in the area when she saw a man at the intersection yelling at another man, who was trying to apologize. The man who was yelling shot the other man more than once, she said.

She said the shooter shot the man, stood over him and said "I told you don't you f--- with me." Then he fired again, she said.

I remember his recruitment too. But let's not turn this into something it is not. The Gasser guy accidently cuts him off, McKnight throws a fit, chases him down, tries to go after him in the car, and got himself shot and killed. It's unfortunate but it is what it is. You could argue that Joe McKnight was mentally ill too. Why in the world would you chase down and threaten a guy who cut you off? Most normal people would let that go with a middle finger in the air or a honked horn.

You can buy a gun Canada, legally, for a lot less than $50K. You just need to pass a basic firearms safety exam and pay a $80 fee.

Actually having a fire arm in the us without a license is a federal offense and automatic 5 year sentence no questions asked. Your countrys gun laws suck ****

Our gun laws are pretty tight. We can't buy hand guns easily at all. Also need permits and FAC course. Rifles and hunting yes. Semi autos or hand guns no.
