Whats your opinion on moving in with your LTR?

@PrettyBoyAJ I put more cash in, yes. I look at money differently now than I did a year ago. It is important & I want to make a lot, but if i don't I can live with that.

If the relationship ends I will stand by my decision.

I met my GF when I was building my business and earning below minimum wage. She earned near on double what I did back then & paid for more stuff.

She is looking for a new job which has the potential for her to earn more money. If my earnings stay static (which I sincerely hope they dont.) she will be earning more than me in 2-3 years. In that scenario she will contribute more than me.

For me having a girl live with me always killed some of the excitement of the relationship. The best part of a relationship is dating and once she moves in some of that dies. Life becomes routine, the flames of suspense die down, you stop prioritizing each other, the quality time is no longer as quality. With every day, the relationship is one step closer to that of some old married couple. And if you are doing it for monetary reasons, you are setting yourself up to fail.

As long as it's mutual I have no problem. Not all girls are like that. I know my ex isn't like that. I paid everything for two years and during the end she nagged me about me working so hard. I remember me telling her to get a job so I wouldn't have to work so much. She told me if she got a job shed break up with me.

That's why I'm so cheap when it comes to girls today. I don't even like taking girls out on dates unless they pay for something.

Living with a woman is nice. its the companionship. She cant be crazy though...

But remember you gotta lead and let her know who is boss. We pay 50/50 on everything first off. And second of all I call the shots. If you have a proper gf/wife she is not gonna give a fuk what you guys do..she will be by your side and expect you to take the reigns and lead the way toward the path.

Im not saying give a free pass id never let a woman live with me and contribute nothing financially thats just assanine. I was just saying if she makes a little less than I through no fault of her own(like she has a respectable job like a teacher or social worker) <-- those jobs are low paying generally, than maybe you could pay the rent and she pay gas and electric/groceries/cable

• If you make more and you go half on everything, but paying half leaves her broke .. how will she get her hair done, nails done, look pretty for you, go to girls night so you can have space etc etc

Understand Cola, whatever works for you is what you should do. I'm a hardass. My exwife once asked me when she could get a new car(shortly after I bought one for myself). I told her when she makes what I do and can afford it. lol, might have been a nail in the coffin!

Even marriage can be a shaky situation these days also…

Well, what he's saying is misleading; he basically provides for himself, his own house etc and is fully independent. Sounds like he takes in random young girls who come from nothing and have nothing. The situation obviously isn't one where he's been involved in an LTR with them for some time and they're both working adults who want to take the 'next step'. Not that there's anything wrong with what's he doing, I'd probably do it too, but it doesn't speak to the original post much.

I lived with an ex girlfriend once and hated it. After moving in together she did a complete 360 in her personality. She would nag constantly and hog all the closets and room with clothes she didn't need and nick nack bs. She moved out and I got stuck with a house I couldn't afford on my own. After that experience I swore I would never live with another woman. I can't stand being tied down. MGTOW is much better.

Thats the problem. Guys think when they get the LTR you can stop gaming her. When you get the LTR the games really begin. She is going to test you, throw tantrums, try to make you jealous, do things she knows you dont like to see how much rope she has to play with etc etc have to be on your A game because every test you fail is a little respect lost.

Yeah, I have read squirrel's post close to 50 times. It's just fine to let your guard down because you are who you are. You are no longer fronting that character anymore...it's YOU! Embrace it and whatever comes will come. A navy seal does not lose his tactics in civilian clothes.
