This thread reminds me of an interview with Aries Spears, in which he was talking about NBA stars. How many professional athletes do you know who can get the hottest women on the planet? Women are basically craving rich athletes because they got looks, fame + money. Being a NBA star is sexy. While they jump in the air, women can take a look at their muscles and imagine a carefree VIP life together with one of those wealthy athletes.

Inventing Facebook isn't sexy. Who has the hots for a man sitting in front of a computer 24/7? He can be rich af, he can change the world, but someone like Zuckerberg will always be perceived as a beta provider. Women subconsciously marry CEOs to increase the likelihood of their offspring reaching adulthood and successfully reproducing.

By dating professional athletes, they get the best of both worlds. Their physical attractiveness is rooted in signs that their future offspring will be plentiful and healthy + their money provides food, shelter & Louis Vuitton handbags.

I think that most men in Zuck's position don't want to be in a ridiculous situation, and hence take the opportunity that being a famous accomplished man affords him (NOTE: I didn't say anything about being extraordinarily wealthy.) Aside from the occasional coot that marries a stripper 1/4 of his age (like that oil baron), most men marry an age-appropriate woman (here, age-appropriate means as per his overall youthfulness). And also they want their woman to be intelligent as well.

Think of it this way - if a woman is decently slender, she is probably going to have bangable body, even if it's not centerfold quality. And a woman can be decently cute without being movie-star beautiful either. Being famous simply allows any woman meeting these standards to consider you attractive - whereas such a woman would probably be a bit finicky if a non-famous/wealthy man having the same general attributes were to make his acquaintance.

@bradd80 Word up. Word up. Generally, people will like you not because of what you have but because of how you make them feel. So instead of spending lots of dough early on, be impressive, be fascinating, be attractive! If you're wealthy and tend to spend a lot of cash on a woman you don't know very well, she will mistrust you and wonder what you really want from her. See, that's the problem with a lot of guys who are big spenders. They give the reward before the behavior. They try to buy a woman's affection with food and gifts. They reward her for nothing and expect something in return. All those rich guys with women problems display approval-seeking beta behavior and that's why they're unlucky. A normal wage earner who is not out to get approval from others and who has his own ideas of right and wrong will always be more attractive to a woman than a needy, non-masculine rich guy.

She is not spectacularly beautiful... But in her defense she at least seems to be stable, sane, not a gold digger, and at least she is highly intelligent. Going just for looks would likely get him stuck with some kind of selfish and stuck up gold digger. I actually would say that Zuckerberg choose correctly if he was actually looking for marriage material.

I enjoy attractive, intelligent and accomplished women as much or more than the next guy.

Girls are opportunists and will take any advantage they can. This is nothing new because everybody knows movie stars get cheated on. I don't see anything wrong with Mark's wife. Dude was a baller that couldn't keep her interested, plain and simple, she wanted game and he was doing the nice guy thing.
