"If I see a man pull up in a Prius with a Vote Bernie bumper sticker... we're done. Real men earn their own money. I think that Liberal Man is an Oxymoron. You can't be a man if you espouse Liberal ideas."

- Courtney Kirchoff

Read it and weep, girly men.

"real men" don't call themselves "real" men. That's like women who say "I want a real man". Sorry but Bernie Sanders is the only legitimate candidate even running in this race and it's a damn shame he probably won't get elected because dark forces in our civic discourse dupe voters into mistaking progress for fascism and because elections are bought by a few hundred donors. Intelligent men understand that everyone in society stands to prosper from an increase in the social minima.

Bernie Sanders is the only reasonable guy in this election.

As a Canadian, i want to see him vs Trump... bring back the pop-corn show that is American politics and all the joke we used to say before Obama made US politics credible.

I don't know why so much people on this site want to start political stuff discusion. Its against the "alpha/real/DJ rule" of "boring topic/dividing topic" which will lower your social status

bigneil is just a hardcore right wing blow hard who watched some sh!t on fox news and thinks he understands how politics and society works now, he tends to come into threads randomly (or create them) and bashes on progressive and unpopular ideals(thanks to fox news propaganda and other hardcore conservative privately funded think tanks, etc.) and then "backs up" his claims with sociopathic tendencies and sweeping generalizations about large demographics cause he makes some decent wages. It's really kind of an extreme black and white for this guy with absolutely zero grey in between.

I'm all for a guy who earns a decent living but I don't care to see people degrade others because of short sighted political and societal "ideals".

Where is the humor to be found in the OP? In case you're unaware the OP is quite serious. He actually thinks Austin is one of the "worst cesspools" in the country. If you didn't know Austin, TX has quite a reputation for being a more progressive and "liberal" city.

"Where is the humor?" ???? I laughed so hard I watched it 50 times.

But let the "men" who vote Bernie cry out loud on record for the world to see.

Do you think I scripted this for her? I would have, but I didn't. What a coincidence! There are women who don't like men who like welfare handouts.

I'm Irish. Did you know that Irish sold for cheaper than black slaves because we couldn't jump as high? Ever hear me talk about "Jumper privilege"? Not me. No excuses for a handout here. And for the record, Jewish people were 11.5 times more likely than white non-Jews to have slaves. Ever hear anyone talk about White Jewish privilege? WHITE CHRISTIANS ENDED SLAVERY WORLDWIDE. Meanwhile, the fiat central banks oppress every person on Earth, and I've fought them for decades, but the black people want to blame ME for their oppression???

I would like to think no one would want to vote for a 75 year old socialist who has never had a successful career, has the lowest net worth of anyone in Congress, and despite having served in Congress for nearly 30 years, has never had a signature piece of legislation.

But then again, look who got elected the last 2 times in America, pretty much the same guy, just a lot younger.

Sorry bigneil but you're delusional if you think anyone who actually receives supplemental security income benefits "likes" living on the brink of complete ruin. You do realize in the United States there is no such thing as just "welfare" but rather an entire system comprised of many different ways individuals can receive different benefits and that, to qualify for these systems, you had to have paid into them at some point? I think people who pay for social security at some point are entitled to government assistance when they need it. In fact, I can't even remember the last time an actual "welfare queen" has existed, probably because the last time they did was under the Reagan administration. But again, if you think people enjoy living like destitute vagabonds well you're simply beyond reason.

The senator is no socialist, at best he's a new deal democraft, or a "social democrat" if you will(at least that's self proclaimed by Sanders), who advocates for bigger social spending. Like Franklin D. Roosevelt. What a concept. Another thing is I'm not sure how being a social democrat occupying a seat in the Senate ISN'T a successful career? And what does net worth have to do with anything? It sounds like you're almost making the argument that the value of a person's life is only equivalent to whatever their net worth is. So what then are the lives worth of the men and women who sacrifice their lives every day for us in wars fought both past, present, and future? Their meager military salaries? Even if he hasn't made world shattering strides it's not easy fighting against private and corporate interests.

I'm still at a loss as to what makes socialist societies so horrible. Government "handouts" have nothing to do with anything here.

You can advocate for all the bigger social spending you like and get your boy Sanders to harangue people to pay the taxes to fund them. We are already $19,000,000,000,000 in debt. Current CBO forecasts put the debt at $23,000,000,000,000 in four years' time.

Pretend you can tax the 'rich' to pay for single payer health care, 'free college' and all the other Sanders promised goodies. It's simple math, even you can do it. Take the $2,000,000,000,000 accumulated wealth of all the "1%" and the 100 richest corporations. Not tax it, TAKE it. That would run the US government for 7 months of CURRENT spending, not post-Sanders college, health care and what have you.

Then fantasize that 100 Senators and 435 Congress persons, whether democrat or republican that stand for non-national, state and local elections are going to put into place the Sanders tax 'plan' and then try to run for re-election.

Sanders has been a US Senator for 10 years. He know he is blowing smoke. That you don't is amazing.

Uh huh, 19 trillion in debt, yada yada, great GOP debate talking points. You realize it takes decades to accumulate that amount of debt right? The debt is mostly not as big of a concern as you and many others make it out to be. National debt should not be treated as if it's consumer debt, especially considering how close it is to our GDP, which is what it should be compared to. There is no risk of not being able to pay our debt (protip: we will never pay it all down because it is better to always invest in the future) besides a few times republicans in congress just straight up didn't want to pay.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

The United States government is an economic institution. You want to compare it to 'consumer debt' feel free. It just affirms your innumeracy. US Debt as a percent of GDP has exceeded 100% for three straight years now and is on its way to over 110% (CBO). The only time it exceeded 100% prior was in the Great Depression and World War II.

The US in not investing with its debt financing. It is being immediately consumed by social and defense spending and interest payments. In your parlance 'consumer debt' - that's running your credit card past the max and all you did with it is buy beer and groceries and make the (ever growing) interest payment.

Decades to run this debt? 80% of it has been issued in the last 8 years.

You know nothing but liberal platitudes. You certainly do not understand simple arithmetic.

Republicans expanded the debt "aka Reagan especially" to put Washington and its bureaucrat out of job so that local communities and their religious group could take over "washington".... you hear Republicans complain all the time about Washington.

Obama reduced the debt more than any of the previous 5 présidents.

Yep Fox is propagenda. No one who follows Fox News is taken seriously.

CNN is more democrat and been skipping Sanders. Like all média they have bias... but you have actual information on that channel.

Socialist countries are considered the happiest and most "equalitarian" but have also the high suicide rate.

Nothing wrong with Socialism... its what Jésus was preaching after all

Time series of U.S. public debt overlaid with party affiliation of the President. The upper graph shows the U.S. public debt in trillions of dollars while the lower graph shows the U.S. public debt as a percentage of GDP. (Data are from the 2009 U.S. Budget.)

Bwahahaha!
