New research says guys who get meds for erectile dysfunction have an 18% lower chance of getting Alzheimer's within five years. This is the second study in a while to link drugs like Viagra and Cialis with a lower risk of Alzheimer's, but there's another study saying there's no connection. Some experts are saying, "Hey, hold up!" They're cautioning against jumping to conclusions about these drugs being an Alzheimer's cure. But the researchers say it's still worth looking into whether these drugs could be repurposed to treat Alzheimer's. The study's lead, Ruth Brauer, thinks the findings are promising, but she's saying we need more research before we start prescribing these drugs to everyone as an Alzheimer's prevention measure. The study got published in Neurology on February 7th.

Well now you can justify your use!

I use 5mg cialis (tadalafadil) EOD "for heart health".

In reality, it helps lower blood pressure (helpful if you're on steroids) and makes my stiffy stiffer.

Are you keeping an eye on your hematocrit levels?

Yeah, my HCT was borderline low before TRT (actual TRT at 180mg/wk) and raised like 2 points after TRT.

I still do bloodwork every 6 months, but I'm not taking enough of anything to be concerned about elevated levels. I've never even pushed a gram total per week.

I guess they might be but if you are already on anything for high blood pressure or heart it could dip you really low, if you’ve had any sort of cardiac issues ever I’d consult with a cardiologist before taking them recreationally.

Wondering if this changes gut bacteria composition? Or reduces the impacts of whatever they are secreting as previous studies have shown severely altered gut bacteria profiles years before Alzheimer's is diagnosed...

More and more long term degenerative diseases are being found to originate from faulty gut microbiomes. Parkinson's is another and is now believed that it can be prevented and/or halted by eradicating a certain type of gut bacteria that seems to be responsible over a long period of time.

They are starting to find out that pretty much for any disease now if you go looking in the gut microbiome, there is likely something to find there. It's remarkable just how huge a role this functioning properly plays in our health and well being.

I've been saying it for a while, but cialis is literally a miracle drug. It has numerous benefits beyond just curing ED, and basically no downsides except some back pain. Viagra on the other hand does have a very very minor risk of vision impairments or deafness but the risks are even lower with cialis.
