Am I the only one sick of seeing these so-called PUA gurus on TV doing seminars, chat shows and book signings?

If they're everything they say they are and they're on air, let's see them picking up women for once!!

Seeing is believing and none of them have done anything to convince me they're any better than the average keyboard jockey.

Neil Strauss' gf may be hot and he may be an awesome pua or whatever, but his book "the game" is a simple, bad, and cheap imitation of books like the art of seduction or the 48 laws of power. Then it comes leather bound with golden edges just like a bible, like its the ****...i wanted my money back within the first 100 pages i read.

Neil is well spoken and has a background as a writer -- as well as a "rock 'N roll" background thus his introduction to his "live-in" guitar playing g/f - read "live-in hor"!!!!!!!!! Well, they do in-field workshops too. Of course, that's for a price... But if Mystery's plans go through, then he'll soon have his own reality TV show. So maybe you won't have to wait much longer.

WTF? Dude, "The Game" was nothing like those books. It was more of a story of one man and his journey. Of course, he learned lessons throughout the journey and he tries to teach them. But the focus of the book is on his personal development. Those other books are more like "how-to's." "The Game" certainly has some how-to elements to it, but it's a far cry from being the focus of the book.

You are an idiot. These books are NOTHING alike. This would be like me saying that swimming is a poor imitation of basketball as a sport. Even the Art of Seduction is much much different. AofS is a treatise on great historical seducers and their methods. The Game is the story of a man who is learning pickup. The book doesn't even mention those historical seducers. My guess is that you haven't read any of them.

ok so the art of seduction is about many seducers and their methods, and the game is about one man and his methods, actually the methods of many others as well, like mystery. fundamentally, however, the concept is the same and i was only suggesting or recommending to not waste your time reading books like the game, if you at least have a remote idea of what seduction or picking up is about. otherwise i guess is a good begginers book, but still by no means should it look like the bible...even the bible on this site is a much better read.

I think The Art of Seduction and The 48 Laws of Power are two absolutely incredible books, and highly recomend them. The Game is also the 5h!t. It's an easy read, it's full of great stories, and it's got some valid points/tips/info, especially if yer just starting out.

And I fvcking hate that little English dude Rafael on the video clips. Total playa. Master pua. Spinnin' 15 plates at all times, hardest part of his day is deciding which of the HB10's in his stable he wants to get an afternoon three-way going with. That or he's the worlds most deluded, eloquent AFC. I dunno... he's like a shadow...one minute he's talking an you're trying to strangle your monitor, the next he's gone...
