How do you not listen to authority when you don't want to??

For instance:

My football trainer told me to take my hat off.

Honestly, I didn't want to take my hat off. Why the f*ck should I take my hat off if I didn't want to?

Eventually, I took it off, because he is the trainer and I am just a player.

How do you NOT do what you don't want to do?

Another example is that my mate lets his mother control him. He lets her make him to things he does want to do, or vice versa.
If he wants to go out sarging with me and my mates, his mother threatens to lock him out? WTF?

So, how do you NOT do what you don't want to do OR DO what you want to do, when a higher authority does not allow you to?

Come on, for the high school kids!

If they can get a girl to stand up to her domineering parents, man, those pants are going to slide off through thought alone!

You are not going to get anywhere in a job if you do not listen to your boss. The only option is to become the boss. What do you get out of wearing the hat? Nothing. Clearly, the rule is there to ensure the uniformity of the team. If one wants to do stupid things, which have no purpose, but rather a counter purpose, then they ought not to do it. If on the other hand, you have solid reason why you want to do something, it becomes much easier to do it, and put your foot down. Confidence comes from knowing that you are right, when you have no basis for a decision, how do you expect to go against an order with confidence?

Alright bud, Thanks for the advice that I was NOT looking for.

Why should I take off my hat if I don't want to? It was cold out as well. I shouldn't have to do things that I don't want to.

it depends on when it is worth it.
would it be worth getting chewed out or something over wearing a hat?

pick your battles carefully and then stick to your guns.

Why would you let anyone ever make you do something that you don't want to do? OR Vice versa?

because sometimes you have to compromise small things, like when to wear a hat and when not to or how to dress to go to school due to a dress code.

the little things we have to learn to let go because its the big things that really matter

First you can't wear the hat. Next, you'll have to carry the balls. Pretty soon, you'll be the team b!tch and the beta male that gets no play.

Anyways, lets not stick to these examples. They were just that. Examples.

I want to know How do I not do things that I don't want to do, when told to do so by higher authority. OR vice versa.

Thank You

Simple really. Just don't do it. Keep on wearing that hat. Just be prepared to face the consequences.

If you don't want to face the consequences of being disobedient, then explain yourself to the authorities. Tell them the reasons why you don't want to do those things. It better be good though, otherwise you'll just come across as being a stubborn dumb fvck.

Ok, maybe the hat example wasn't so great.

What if my trainer wanted me to carry the balls back inside?
Only the beta males do this type of labor. Only the AFCs are the beta (team b!tch).

If my trainer told me to do so, how would I go about NOT doing it?
