A tip to get girls AND make money at the same time

Ok, I did a search and I couldn’t find something like this posted recently so…… I have a tip for some of you guys who are having trouble approaching girls. This will also make money, build interpersonal skills, get killer deals, and if you need it, update your wardrobe to a newer more stylish one.

Get a job at a clothing store such as American Eagle Outfitters, Abercrombie, Aeropostale, Hollister, etc etc. I recently got a job there (American Eagle) and I noticed a bunch of things over the past couple of months that I think could help out some guys’ game. Ok, I’m not too great at explaining things so bare with me…here goes….

You are REQUIRED to talk to customers. And guess what guys, a HUGE chunk of the customers that come into the store are ladies….hot ones. So here’s the deal, you approach the customers and ask them if they need help deciding on anything, finding anything, etc. At AE, we are encouraged to engage in conversation with customers…which includes ladies.

So I see this doing a few things for us. It helps you get over the fear of approaching chicks and talking to them because it’s your JOB too…and if you don’t, there’s a chance you might get fired. Also, it helps build interpersonal skills in general. This is also a good place to practice your body language. By observing how females react to your body gestures, you can see what is good and see what is bad.

Also, YOU GET PAID TO DO THIS. Think of it like this, you are getting paid to approach females. It’s a win/win situation….make money while perfecting your skills. It also gets better…you get discounts on clothes. For the first 2 weeks…its 50% off!!! After that, its like 40%. You can also get a feel for what’s in style and how to dress.

By doing these things, it should help build confidence….it sure helped mine!

And just one final note. I am not sure what the company policy is on this, but I have had no problems with this. You have access to a large volume of girls. If a girl interests you…you can get her number. I got many numbers from girls that just came in looking for jeans…lol

I know this might seem kind of broad…after all, I’m not the best at explaining things. But I think you get the point. Hope this helps!

You go with boys to the club ,adnd You come to girl and say 'Hey my friends made deal with me. If You will drink juicewith me and give me Your phone number they will give me money. They think You wouldnt be interested in me. I want to show them how wrong they are.'
So mainly at this time, girl may laugh, girl may just say ok, might even get mad a little. But will chat with You for 100%.
This stuff also works almost 100% at each time. Very easy and usefull. I used to do that for fun when i was younger.

That doesn't sound easier to a newbie that can't talk to a girl. If it's part of your job, you get DAMN good at talking.

I used to be social phobic, but I got into sales work and it completely turned me around, made it easy for me to talk to strangers, socialise and gave me a lot of confidence. So I highly recommend this tip!

Bar work would be even better, especially for meeting women as bar staff always get hit on.

Get girls, perhaps, but don't expect to make very much money.

ive heard that for getting this kind of job in the trendy clothing stores(A+F for example) they dont just put signs up and have people turn in applications, they have pros going around looking for people who are really hot and stylish and asking if they want to work for their store. which is a real bummer.

They aren't "pros", they're store employees. A&F will have brand reps walk around the mall from time to time recruiting new people, and once or twice a month an assistant manager or the store manager will go to a local college for "on campus" recruiting. If you don't want to wait to be asked, you can always go to your nearest A&F (or HCo) and use their automated application kiosk, usually near the registers...

The easiest thing to do is just go in and ask for an application. Fill it out and drop it off. Thats what i did and i got scheduled for an interview when I dropped it off.

i swear the grocery store.. in the right neighboorhood is like an untapped (literarly) gold mine..

I mean.. everyone HAS to go at some point in time.. and talk about a time when your defenses are 100 down.

Girls that would take an hour to get dressed normally will ask me to go to the store with them in gym shorts and a hat and no makeup.

Also, you can tell a hell of a lot about a person by what is in their cart. I am a total health nut (thanks in part to pook), and the last time I went to the grocery store, I ran into.. well first off.. Jermain Taylor's wife, who I somewhat know but not on a first name basis (not my type, but not bad looking.. hell of a basketball player), but I had a woman come up to me and start making casual conversation about healthy foods and my workout routine.. good looking too.. very sexy legs. Plus the cashier was checking me out, but was a little bit below my standards.

I mean.. think about it.. you see a woman grocery shopping, you notice she has a wedding ring, but you only see her shopping for one person.. what does that tell you (I've seen it happen and i know of a person who is like this, won't spend a dime on her husband because she can't stand him)

Good post, but remember not to do it when someone whose rank is above yours, since you could get in trouble for approaching customers.

Out of interest, how much do you get paid and how many hours a day do you work in such jobs?

Actually, 99.9% of retail employees are expected and required to approach customers. If you meant to say you might get in trouble with your manager for hitting on customers, the only way that's going to happen is if the customer in question makes a complaint.

For one like being described, within 2 bucks of minimum wage and depending on how many people work there, anywhere from 10 hours a week to 35.

"2 bucks of minimum wage" means 2 dollars a week?

Whatever happened to becoming a professional pornstar (stud?) or seduction guru? Those seemed to be well paid a few years ago...

He means within $2 of min wage, as in $7.50 an hour.

Women love clothes. Structure, Express, or any trendy type of store like A&F is best. These jobs give less social proof than other jobs like DJ and bartender, but they are easier to get.

Ok, I'm stupid, but I still don't get it. Does it mean that you get between $7.50 and $9.50 a hour?

What he means is this: Example: lets say minimum wage is $7.00 per hour. He is trying to say that they usually pay within 2 dollars of minimum wage.......aka: they usually pay less than $9/hr if the minimum wage is $7/hr. Get it?.....7+2=9


Anyway, American Eagle pays about $7/hr to start for a regular associate. And your first raise comes with your first evaluation. I dont know exactly what managers make but I do know that my main store manager makes around $50k/yr...not a bad chunk of change for managing a fairly small clothing store.

As for hours, it ranges a lot. My average has been about 15-30 hours per week. Btw, paychecks are bi-weekly. I have also had as much as 45hrs per week. But when its a dead season, you can get as little as 8-10 hours per week. However, usually they get rid of the employees that aren't as good so they can give hours to people that deserve it.

Why dont you become a bartender??

My bartendering job earns me about $20 an hour and you get to talk to soooo many girls. At the moment I am new and still learning both the DJ concept and the job itself but I can see myself getting a lot of girls in the future.

I have had a sh*tload of opportunities but I've wasted them because I'm not good at the game yet. Also male bartenders are very rare so being the rare male bar staff amongst many superhot barmaids increases your percieved value as you are already in the power position (and vice versa).

The girls are dressed up, sexed up and liqoured up to be...guess...pick up.

Once I was walking behind the barline and this one girl caught my eye and I turned my head without turning my body. I gave a warm smile THEN I turned the rest of my body towards her then served her. She came back later to order more drinks but I pretended I couldn't hear so I had to lean in closer so my head is right alongside hers. I knew I had her but my AFC self told me to get back to work instead of continueing with her or perhaps take a break to dance or mingle with her. DAMN you AFCness.

So yes think about that...you get tips, you get paid, you get to hang out with hot barmaids (or even mess around with them) and then you can decide what to do with the girls who are interested in you.

Downside is you get sh*t hours, you lose your going out time, put up with drunks and overly sexed up UGs and your sleeping pattern is way out of whack.
