If you have any balls you should start a Political Forum.

I volunteer to moderate. i.e. Anything goes, no one will get censored.

Closed, and self-contained from the rest of the boards.

Hell you can even lock it like you do the Moderator's Forum.. i.e. you have to apply to join.. and if you're a consistent a$$hole on the forum you get the boot. Simple.

grow a sack.. make it happen.

I have. But the discussions in the "Anything Else" forum always seem to veer towards politics.. so rather than banning it.. give us a forum for it.

That was gay of you to call me gay. :D

Haha! I can't believe. He asks others to create a political thread but he gave others some time before making a thread.

It is silly to create a political forum.

Lets just keep discussing politics in a well-informed intelligent matter that doesnt turn into:

Oh yeah? Well **** you , you right wing, c0cksucking Bush-loving motherfvcker! I hate you so much and if I find out where you live, I will tear your head off with my bare hands and shyt down your neck!!!! ****ing stupid ass mother****ing ***** bastard *****!!!!

If we keep things mature, the mods will take note.

Its really too bad that the mods wont let up the ban, considering how well-behaved people have been in the political discussions. I think the conversations have improved 1,000% since we got roid of the likes of Demon, DIESEL and all those other egomaniacs who were polluting the board with silly pissing contests.

I really wish Allen would lift the ban but I respect his choice not to. Its also a shame because I feel that while there are some little punks running around on this board, there are quite a few intelligent and enlightened individuals here who I enjoy debating with.

Whaddya say Allen? Any chance you can lift the ban eventually?

If not, then can anyone recommend a forum where such issues can be discussed? I would talk to my friends about it but they are clueless and would much rather watch MTV for hours than discover what is really going on in the world.

hey ronny..

you can come over here and we can continue the debate.. I never did a get a chance to rebut before the thought police stepped in.

here's the link:

http://www.mattsvillage.com/phpBB2/index.php

go to "off-topic" and it'll be pretty easy to figure out who I am. I was also attracted at this site by postings from someone who seems to share your point of view. I'll be nice, I promise.

for a site that is widely derided on sosuave.com as being wussy and AFC.. they seem to have way more balls lately.

P.S. This invitation also goes out to anyone on this board who is tired of the bull**** political censorship on this site. Political awareness and its debate is as much a part of being a man as the pursuit of women, working out, or any of the other crap you are expounding here.

As a liberal I have fun debating conservatives, but FreeRepublic.com is probably the gayest forum for debate because the eliminate any thread that is not very conservative within 10 minutes and ban you. I saw some guys argue about Dean v. Bush being like Mondale v. Reagan and so I argued why I thought Dean would not be comparable because of x, y, z, the whole time linking it to conservative principles and noting that I don't even support Dean, well, my post got erased within 6 minutes and I was banned. Freedom of speech is not tolerated in such a retarded place. Anyway, anyone know any good political forums?

Also, Don_Ronny, who was that guy that you quoted?

Don_Ronny was referring to a book by George Orwell called "1984". It's the book about Big Brother and if read behind the lines, it's about communism. The irony is Bush also made some restrictions on privacy and stuff.

You're correct. Dean is in no way comparable to Mondale. But he's still going to lose. Especially now that Bush is going to have a field day with his war stance. Hell, Lieberman already started calling him on it!

But really, what's the difference between that place and this one? Freedom of speech isn't tolerated here either... both posts got pretty much thumped almost as quickly.

By the way, my invitation to Don Ronny is open to you as well.

Actually, if YOU would read behind the lines you would notice it is not just about communism but propaganda in capitalist states as well. George Orwell was a socialist (revelation of the day). He wrote a special preface to his book where he noted that, although the Soviet Union (not communism, Soviet's were never truly communists, Orwell makes this distinction many times) had a ridiculously strong propaganda machine, the propaganda in America and Britain is equally bad. If you look at how are media is run you will see that all media is headed by corporation with ties to the very topics they cover. Orwell noted how much Britain censored news (not the government, but the media itself) and even made jabs at America's media. You are NOT reading between the lines by noting the book's about communism, that link is DEAD OBVIOUS... you are reading between the lines when you realize its a jab at capitalism too. His publisher refused to carry that preface in the first edition because they didn't like its ideological message (another instance of censorship).

Anyway, Orwell's quote is not what I'm referring too. I'm referring to this quote:

Oh yeah? Well **** you , you right wing, c0cksucking Bush-loving motherfvcker! I hate you so much and if I find out where you live, I will tear your head off with my bare hands and shyt down your neck!!!! ****ing stupid ass mother****ing ***** bastard *****!!!!

Who made the above quote, Ronny, did you make that up or was that an actual quote?

Hmmm, MVPlaya, interesting interpretation. Keep in mind, I've read the Dutch translation. And there wasn't a special preface in the book. I have to admit, I don't know much about Orwell.Of course, the link between the sovjets and the book was obviously clear, however not everybody is so smart to see it. I was careful not to hurt someone's feelings.

Waar ben jij vandaan?
