You have to see what's going on around you. I was teasing a woman the other day when she had silver boots on. I was calling her "Meryle the Werewolf Stomper" suggesting she should have her own TV show.
It's usually something she is doing or wearing. Just don't be a @ss about it. It's easier to just mention what you should NEVER tease he about.

... her children or parenting skills (if she has them).
... her weight, unless it's about how much she has lost.
... her age, unless it's about how young she looks.
... how much she earns.
... her education level or what she studied.
... her former lovers and exs.

Teasing and humor is at its funniest when it is observational. Canned lines are corny and only are effective as such. Minus the classics.
Be aware of your surroundings, be aware of her, and find the humor in the daily things that happened in life. I was at work on the 3rd story and glanced out the window, I seen smoke and a guy barbequeing. He must've climbed out the window to setup his grill, wtf? Lol
