the true unemployment rate is 36.7%. If the "participation rate" of adults in the labor market has dropped to 63.3%, that means 36.7% are not participating for one reason or another. This is the worst it has been in 60+ years.

At this stage, hilarity must ensue. Not for those suffering, but for the useless media we must turn to for information. The media continues with it's narrative: How can there be such terrible news from so many different economic sectors when everything is doing so well? I mean, really? It's one thing to think the emperor has new clothes before the kid speaks out. But once the audience has walked away and the emperor has been revealed to be stark naked, it's embarrassing to continue on with the new clothes story.

To further emphasize your point, keep in mind that several decades ago, women rarely had jobs, and yet our current participation rates are still lower than those years. We have fewer people working now of both genders than we had decades ago when only men worked.

The world economy has been in a great depression since the end of the Cold War. Before that: 20 years of steady decline disguised as yo-yo-ing -- that was remarkably similar to the decline of the 1920s but on a much bigger scale. What's different this time is that there cannot be a post-WWII-style booming recovery. The US economy, and therefore, the world economy, is unsound in the way that Europe was unsound after WWII. The world will limp along in a permanent economic depression that has already defacto made the US into a third world sh1thole plantation economy -- back into being the Brazil it once was.

It's just laughable hearing the pettiest of the petty rich declare their haughty independence with their sh1tty little landlord setups, or their here-today-gone-tomorrow Internet busy-ness. As if wave after wave of wannabes weren't created then crushed in the service of the elite.

what's REALLY laughable is the people who haven't prepared for the collapse and are clueless about what is coming, or how to handle it.:) And that's 99.9+ of the population.

I think that the "collapse" is highly overhyped.

I expect more of the same "general crumble" that has gone on for the last 12 years.....Likely another 4-5 years of this before we finally get decent times again.

Unless of course war breaks out.

War is going to breakout, look at history, the world powers always cover sh*tty economy with war. The world is getting ready for a world war and people are already taking sides

Russia,China, Iran already have an alliance. Same as America,Nato, Israel

I feel like that number sounds right, I feel like it will go even higher when this obamacare comes into play. Tons of these jobs are putting people on part time hours just to avoid this.

the baby boomers are GOING to collapse SS and medicare. there is no way around it. to cover up for a while, Pols will inflate the dollar to the point where NOBODY accepts it. that means no oil will come here, none of the food or things we import. It is going to be a horror beyond anything in recorded history.

we think so because the world DOES revolve around the US, dude.. google for how much of the world's market is from trade with the US. then google each of our top trading partners, ( who WILL collapse if the US collapses) and SEE what is left for the remaining countries to trade with! :) Japan, china, almost all of Europe, Canada, all of the oil producing countries, all of Latin and S. American, Mexico, all HOPELESSLY tied to US economy. and those countries compose the main trading partners for every other country in the world.

Americans, you think the world revolves around you and your country.
No, and I suppose, when all is said and done, and anyone even suspected of being distantly related to the Rockefellers has been exterminated for genetic contamination with criminal insanity, people will laugh at the USA as being the eternal c0cksucker of the Eurotrash elite.

FYI, no jobs in america. The rest of the world does not need AMERICANS... the middle class is going to be completely wiped out, rebuilt and re-structured to serve the new rich who will inherit everything on american soil. How do I know this? It happened in Canada. Get ready for more immigration, more immigrants buying american property and business with foreign money and Waaaaaaay more people selling each other out for a dollar. All overloards will reside abroad so guns will not be able to find their targets. You will be killing your fellow americans first from the poor revolting and going after the rich or the ones with somewhat decent jobs... crime waves... Your government will be run by foreign money, everything you have and do will be run by foreign interests... what happens to the average american? Well you learn to live on less with less because your labor is just too expensive. Manufacturing jobs are NOT returning to the USA at any time in the near future.

They are going to sell your country to rich foreign interests lock, stock and barrel. The best thing you can do for yourself, is travel to another country, meet a broad and marry her for citizenship, then help sell off pieces of your homeland to your new family.

You will all do this happily as gay marriage, equal rights and women's rights are handed out to all who seek them. You will be told that everyone else is happy and that you are just born to a privileged class and lazy. You will notice immigrants moving in left, right and center who begin buying up your foreclosed housing... Before you know it, America will be a very different place to live.

Why do you think the Government is taking away your guns? It will only be a matter of time before guns are traded in for food, jobs and medical care.

Well it won't matter in 50 years anyway because most of you are already opting out of the gene-pool.

and just HOW will the real estate LEAVE US, hmm? japs bought the empire state building, 20 or so years ago, lost their asses on it, and it's STILL in ny city. :) Canada ****ed up and let go of their guns. we have not, not yet, at least.

why trade in guns, when you can USE them to get the other things you need, wussy? fvck your gene pool.

You are really stupid twentee... the more I read your posts the more I realize just how stupid the average american is.

Anyone can buy property in the USA, you don't know who owns what... I don't understand you and your gun? Who are you shooting at? Do you even know? Everything that is going to happen, will happen behind your back. If you try and use your guns against the elite, you will be promptly removed by a law enforcement system run by the higher ups... you think you are invincible with an assault rifle but you're actually just a target.

Exactly. Women entered the job market en masse, which doubled competition for jobs and halved wages. It took two incomes to live, but society didn't need twice as much stuff, so there weren't any additional jobs. Once manufacturing left, and reduced the economy thrice for every one paycheck not being spent, there were actually fewer jobs despite the increase in population and the increase in consumption of services. Women would enjoy a vastly higher standard of living if they were banned from the workforce and married for life as a teenager -- since men would again have the power to demand high enough wages to support a family.

Tell this to a pants-wearing, hair-bobbed, had-several-abortions, middle-aged, large-and-in-charge single mother the next time she tells you that women's rights are an improvement on the way things used to be.

The official unemployment numbers are completely misleading. Over here i have heard that if you work 1-2 hours a week you are considered employed. Change that, add in all the unemployed who are not looking and everyone else it would probably be much higher.

Like I said, you can "own" real estate from afar, but you can't MOVE it. Bullets trump bs, homeboy. Everyone is in denial about what the baby boomers are going to do to Social Security and Medicare, and what obamacare is going to do to businesses.

Women in the Third Reich prior to WW2 were removed from jobs or any position of responsibility. Are you saying we should try to adopt a similar policy?

I think the US is going back to being the Brazil it always was except for its narrow window of opportunity when Europe destroyed itself. As far as Europe goes, yes, women should be banned from employment. Sell it to the feminists as Marxist liberation for the "better half" who will be freed from wage slavery by the nanny state.
