I think he does clarify it since he was saying how to warmup and nothing about the actual set up of your routine. He gave how you should progress up to your working weight.

i think it makes sense. but the author doesn't clarify how many worksets should follow if your just doing a normal workout not a max out.

Very good post that I have linked on this site quite a number of times. A lot of people would be a lot better of following that advice.

It doesn't matter how many worksets you do or what the numbers are, you warm up accordingly for that weight. The heavier the weight the more warm up sets you do.

how would you warm up to a weight accordingly? like say you have a 150 squat how much would you increase each warmup set by?

"45 x 5 x 2
95 x 3
115 x 2
135 x 1"

then your work sets...
