I love this fvcking show. Always have. Within the relationship dynamic it's as real as real gets on television. If you want to know what women talk about and think about watch the show. Learn it, live it, love it.
More importantly, women are absolutely obsessed with it. I've come to realize if you know the nuances of the show; the characters, the plot and sub-plots, the situations and relatability to our own relationships it is instant social proof. Really look at it. The characters have great style in their clothing, the dialogue is true, the situations these girls find themselves in can and ,more than likely, happen to those of us who brave the social scene.
I came up with a perfect opener which I've used with great aplomb. Although it does work better when you're hanging out with women.
Here it is:
"Hey you guys, I only have a couple of minutes then I need to get back to my friends but I needed to find something out? Who is Mr. Big? The reason I ask is that my friends over there and the waitress are all saying that I remind them of a Mr. Big, is that a good thing?"
Boom! Instant social proof and elevated status. The chicks light up and throw out all kinds of reciprocal flow about how great he is and what a true man should be and connecting that to me just slides me in! Ah, the joy of emerald eyes aglow!
I urge you to lose the disdain for the show and look at it from a learning perspective.
