Anyone know of some good workout music that gets you pumped up to lift? I tried some songs that I thought would pump me up but most acually had me relaxing while I was lifting which I didn't like.

Blade - Techno Blood Rave aka Confusion - New Order

Best Hard House/ Rave song I've ever downloaded (had it for years and it still gets me in the mood for training).

Danzig albums 1, 2, 3, 7 (the new album - heavy, slow, and brutal..) like a good set of heavy deadlifts.

Wu-Tang (especially 36 Chambers, GZA-Liquid Swords, Raekwon's - Cuban Linx album)

S.O.D.

Slayer

Jeru tha Damaja

old Metallica (everything pre-Black Album)

the best tho is to make a couple of mix tapes/CDs

Sinatra's good when you're on the Stairmaster or doing cardio...it's got that "swing" as they say, but it's not brutal enough for heavy lifting IMHO.

I always listen to trance while working out. Club recordings aka livesets by Armin van Buuren are the best. Fast, melodic beat that really gets you going!

I'm totally into "Such Great Heights" by The Postal Service. It's fast enough, has an awesome beat, and it goes well with the emo/indie deal I love.

try Ill Nino or Korns new album kicks good @ss...

and for something different.. try Kodo... its group that play Taiko drums.... Japanese war drums... if you've seen Last Samurai... and heard the drums... that surge of energy you get right before battle.... aaahhhhh.... nothing gets the adrenaline flowing better than the element of combat!

Best,

Yeah, Apostle in Triumph - you rule! Some killer albums in there.

I have a 128MB MP3 player, and i load up that thing with about 25-30 MP3s. All METAL. Its hard, heavy, and gets your blood pumping. Once you get sick of those songs, just upload a new batch, and put it on random play.

Death, Megadeth, Evergrey, Nevermore, The Haunted, Bruce ****inson, Maiden, Armored Saint, Iced Earth, Annihilator, Testament, etc.

Workout Music.

Andy C - DNB Arena mix (its a yellow cd, easy to spot) You can find it in the "trance" section of media play, or if you are lucky enough to have a "jungle" section wherever you get music, then the jungle section. lol.

Its amazingyl aggressive and has a nice energy to it, however it might be to fast to workout with.

I find slow relaxing and trancing music (Sitars, indian music, flutes, etc, ravi shankar) help me the most, as they allow me to zone in on my movement, get awesome and complete form... whereas the more aggressive stuff is if you wanna squat like a madman.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.
