Beginner Don Juan needs assistance...

I am an "in the works" Don Juan that needs some help from all of you true Don Juan's out there that know what they're doing.

I know that being an emotional tampon to a girl are attributes of a "nice guy". I've read before that it's best (if she starts to lay out here problems for you to soak up) to tell her something like "I'm not one of your little girlfriends".

Isn't it important thought to be there for her (assuming the two of you are in a relationship)? What should a Don Juan accept as "ok" when a girl is really stressed and just wants to get stuff off her chest, and when does he draw the line to prevent from being a "nice guy"?

If you want to be one of her girlfriends, then listening to her as she unloads her emotional crap is a great idea.

If you want her to be attracted to you in a meaningful way, then distance yourself from her when she's down and get close to her in her good moods. You don't need to hear her emotional dialogue, that's why she has girlfriends. Show her you have a backbone and you're different than every other dork that wants to hold her hand when she cries about men like you.

I do not concur. You want to be around someone when they are down in the dumps. This is the time when they are at their weakest point. This is when you can break them down and rebuild them. The whole idea is to isolate them. Let them know that most of their so called "friends" are actually back stabbing fools. This will make them more responsive to you. It is also a sad but true thing. Most friends are not to be trusted. So, you are in fact helping them.

The number one problem with American guys....They act too goofy. YOU ARE NOT FUNNY. Be serious for once. Don't ever let anyone laugh at you. I don't care who it is. If it is your Grandma you have a duty to come right back at her. Have a spine. Take off your flip-flops and demand that the chub does likewise. Being serious and intense is sexy. Demand that from yourself and your chub.

Hmmm....

There is so much confusion on these points coz lots of guys act like little pussies with the chicks, never bust a move and then decide that they didn't get the girl coz the were "too nice."

The truth is they just lack the courage to make a move. They try to worm their way into a girls pants by being her vaildation instead f having the balls to bust a move.

How's that for turning cowardice into a virtue...

Being a good person will NEVER have a bad effect. Take it from a guy that has gotten a load of great women by treating them like angels. Girls love a guy who treats them good.

The only thing you should not allow a woman to talk to you about is OTHER GUYS.

i dont knwo if you've ever been interested in more than one woman at a time, but i have.

i find myself talking to my platonic girlfriends about these girls, but never once did i mention them to the girls that i was interested in.

i suspect women are the same, and if they start talking to you about guys, then it's not a matter of "i'm not one of your girlfriends" it's already too late.

I think, like JayJay implied, you need to draw a line between somebody who is an emotional tampon and doesnt make a move, and somebody who still feels able to make a move. I know that, for myself, if in the past a girl properly opened up to me with all of her feelings, I would then feel guilty about even the thought of making a move on her. If you are somebody like that, then it is probably better to leave her emotions for somebody else. But, and Im not trying to sound callous here, it is still possible to be a good guy, and use that to get the girl.

Huh? There's a difference between making a girl laugh and embarrassing yourself. You can't go through life waiting for someone to challenge you. Sure if someone's making you look bad to everyone by talking trash, hell yes you should step up and take them out. Being serious and intense can be sexy, sure, but like everything, only in light moderation/when sh!t gets real, otherwise you look like nothing more than an ex-High School bully who didn't get his way and is gonna throw a fit about it.

Agreed, you need to be there when the chips are down for realationships but if "you ain't hittin' it, you missin' it" or you are nothing more than the tampon (in English language)
That is the main difference between AFC and DJ is the balls to try and the balls to know when to walk away.
