My skin is looking horrible right now....I've been to dermetologist taken creams with benzol peroxide.Increased my water intake daily.

I keep getting these cyst like break outs at the same spots of the skin, and I feel like this is really causing some of the social anxiety I am having with women.

I try to maintain a positive frame, look them in the eye faint confidence..but how to you stomach a ****er who has craters on his face. I know that many can see right through me. I don't understand how some people can even look at me sometimes. I'm just ****ing ugly...

Most of my friends have GREAT skin, white guys with smooth skin no pinkness, inflammations. Even skin tones beautiful ebony skinned black folk I get jealous....I've been in a depression lately.

Basically I am saying how do you overcome this what tips do you have towards washing your face? Getting rid of this problem?

First, you're referring to bad acne, right? If it is that bad then you might need to look into something more serious like Acutane.

I wash my face with Cetaphil in the shower every night and in the morning after shaving. I then moisturize with Neutrogena SPF15 Moisturizer. The important points about this moisturizer is that it is oil-free and it is SPF15. You can get a different moisturizer if you want but make sure it has these two characteristics. Then, if I have any pimples I'll use On-The-Spot.

Back when I was a teenager I found that putting On-The-Spot on my entire face after washing it really helped cut down the acne. You can use any type of 2.5% Benzoyle Peroxide product. But make sure that it is only 2.5% and not any more or less (you could go up to 5% but that's pushing it). The reason is that companies put more into their products because people see the higher percent and think it's better when in reality it simply ravages their skin. The same goes for "maximum strength" Tylenol, for example.

Anyways, that's about all I do and while my face isn't perfectly clear just due to my skin type it's certainly not very noticeable at all.

Oh and avoid touching your face as much as possible, wash your face after getting sweaty (although ideally you would take a shower) and, most importantly, do not pick at or pop pimples. If you have a whitehead then you should only pop the whitehead and do it very carefully, and follow immediately by washing the area and applying On-The-Spot.

I've also found that if you have a large pimple that has not yet "surfaced" (i.e. it seems just like a big red irritated lump on your face), hold a towel with warm water on it and it should significantly reduce the size. Some really bad ones might take multiple attempts at this, but usually holding a damp hot towel on it for like 30-45 minutes will really help. Follow this up with some On-The-Spot.

So:
Cetaphil (I'd stay away from off brands of this, as I've found they are much less effective than Cetaphil itself and tend to dry out the skin more)
Oil-Free Moisturizer with some form of sun screen
On-The-Spot

If you do this you should see significant improvements in 1-2 weeks. Hope this helps.

EDIT: Also, you should really realize that even if you do have bad acne, you shouldn't judge yourself so much about it. I've seen dudes with terrible acne on their faces get the hottest girls because they had confidence and game, and that is what counts. The more you judge yourself about it, the more it is going to show in your personality and how you convey yourself. You're essentially setting yourself up for failure. So learn to accept it and not make such a big deal out of it because it's not.

Oh yeah! Fish Oil helps with stuff like this; I take two every morning. Fish oil is amazing. Also take a multivitamin every morning and make sure to drink lots of water to keep your body hydrated, which also helps keep your skin cleared up.

I thought this thread was going to be about some skin condition or something....

It’s most probably your diet what you eat & $hit!!!

It’s a fact that some people get acne more than others.

I had a friend that had $hit loads on his face, I think he was touching them & latter found out that he does drugs and this was probably the main fact, oh yea, & since he was home alone most of the time, he cooked for himself, mainly pies & $hit like that.

But seriously man, it’s not the fvck’n end of the world!!!!

I think your main problem is the way you look at yourself....
not the way you actually look!!!

Like that friend I was talking bout, he went on like he didn’t have a problem, his outlook on life was positive, It was obvious that he had some problem, he didn’t go bout it like he had a problem, so then people just treated him like there was no problem!!!

Seriously

You’ve got a problem!!!

& it’s not on your face!!!

Maybe you have an allergy to some foods or something. Maybe the foods you are eating are causing really oily skin? Maybe you have a weak immune system which can't remove these infections.

Now that you've tried stuff from the outside, try working on the inside. Go for a really clean vegan or vegetarian diet for a week (consult a dietician). See if its improving your condition. If it does, its the food. Find out what food(s) are causing the problem.

Or you can do nothing and complain about it. Your call. Go to a dietician, a good one.

I tried all kinds of lotions and masks back in the day when my skin was bad. Some of them HELPED, but needless to say, my Acne usually came back.

And the thing with a lot of these cleansers is that you have to use it all the time to get the results.

For me Acutane was worth it. It permanently changes your skin so it's not as oily.

Sounds kind of scary and I'm in no way endorsing it, but it WORKED. Within 3 - 4 months almost all my acne cleared up and it never came back.

I'll get a pimple here and there, but nothing like before.

accutane is great..even at very low doses

for immediate skin clearing follow these instruction every night until clear...this will bring your acne down about 90% in a few days...the redness will be gone within a week

drink omega 3 flax oil sold in a bottle of liquid from a brand called health from the sun

take one teaspoon of a powdered vegetable formula equivalent to 5 servings of vegetables

take one tablespoon of unprocessed honey...also...if you drink milk you must mix it with honey

wash face

apply lots of 2.5% benzol peroxide gel

coat with unprocessed honey for 45min as soon as bp gel dries

wash face with water

stop dwelling on it

You know what I've found?

All these anti-spot creams, washes, soaps etc. do jack ****.

Acne is caused by changing hormone levels and by not being able to dispose of toxins in your food through digestion. if you want to solve the problem, you have to hit the root cause.

Reduce your intake of dairy products as these cause spot break outs, stop eating processed food and eat whole food.

Also, weightlifting will probably cause acne in the beginning, due to rising testosterone levels, but I have found that after a few months, it evens out and the spots disappear, so keep at those weights.

Also sun is brilliant for getting rid of spots, so next summer do a lot of sun bathing.

UV radiation. You can get the same effect from a few minutes on a tanning bed.
