Magnatolia
Don Juan
Hey guys,
I'm reading up on Ross Jeffrie's material, about anchoring feelings.
Does this stuff really work? Here's an example I found:
"So what would it be like if there was this person, who you felt so attracted to, and you could start to feel this warm flush starting to spread right here (Touch her) from your chest... as it flows and spreads outward... becoming more and more intense as you can FEEL THIS... and ...(what she gives you)... what would THIS be like? What if THIS guy was right here in front of you and you could step in to this experience now... what would you most want to do...?"
I'm assuming that when you use the 'feel this' anchor you have to say it as a command so she actually starts to feel these feelings. But what about the last part where you're talking about the guy in front of her (wouldn't she realise you're talking about yourself) or is that male logical thinking?
Because I'm quite skeptical I want to take it baby steps. I'm also not good at talking in flowery terms like the example I posted. So how would I integrate it into this conversation?
Me: Hey, how's your night going?
Her: good
I was thinking 'So what is it that makes your night good?
Her: Just good to be able to hang out with my friends
Me: How do you know when you're with your friends, that you're going to have fun? How does it make you feel?
Her: They're just so much fun, and I feel really excited and energetic
Me: So when you're out having fun, with your friends, and you're feeling this amazing sense of excitement, wouldn't this be a great thing to have. with me, I know that my friends mean the world to me.
Her: blah blah
It feels really unnatural but that's how most new things feel. I guess I'm just worried that I'm going to stuff up along the line.
I've got some female friends that I should be able to test this on.
Any thoughts/suggestions?
